I live a few miles west of Charlotte. Rented a condo there at Topsail about 4 or 5 years ago. Got a fellow to take my son and I out. Went off shore a few miles and fished half day, but only caught a few small atlantic sharks, no keepers. An enjoyable day none the less. Sure enjoyed your video. Best of luck to you.
Ah bummer! If it was summer, near shore can be very sharky. Lots of Spanish to be caught near shore, but have to push off to cooler/deeper water for the nice fish when it’s hot.
great videos. i live in jacksonville nc and go out new river inlet on my boat but i dont do that good when go out. im learning from your videos. thanks
Thanks for watching, Matt! Glad the videos are helping you; I actually started these videos because we had a lack of content for New River Inlet fishing. I'll try to be more vocal about what I am doing and why in the videos - also don't compare your behind the scenes to my highlight reels! Definitely some slow times out there that don't make the final cut for the video!
@@TopsailFishing I hear ya. I’m pretty new to ocean fishing. I grew up western PA catching bass and fresh water trout and now I live here and thought buying a boat and all the gear was about all I needed and learned pretty fast that was not the case 😂. I try to listen to any advice anyone gives and use it
Thanks for the tip. I was actually out at Divers few days ago but they wouldn’t hit anything. Once the wind dies down, going to try a much smaller profile and sight cast to them. NRI vs WB is always interesting, WB has that wreck right off the beach and water always seems little bit warmer. I like our rocky bottom out of NRI though!
