My neck was sore just looking at my screen, could only imagine standing there and looking up the whole time... I recommend they add the space portal wall / windows to the second deck. What is the screen behind the speaker? What does it do???
Look forward to when I've saved up to go I hope I get him as my trip villain because he's awesomely enthusiastic in his role as a first order Lt. Though I will always choose to side with the resistance & look forward to goading and hoodwinking the stormtroopers XD
I think this will be great when they're all polished and used to encountering so many different personalities in the passengers. The actors are pretty great considering what they're working with and the spontaneity of the guests.
I still don't understand why this thing is so expensive. All the videos I've seen don't appear to show much in terms of the 'advanced tech' that was talked about. On a real ship part of the cost is simply the fuel, maintenance and of course the crew piloting the vessel - and it's still significantly cheaper. So, the question I have is what exactly are you paying for here?
Supply and demand. They can charge whatever they want if people are willing to pay for it. Personally doesn't look like it's worth anywhere near $6k but plenty of people will still open their wallets. Look at how much Disney is jacking up prices just for their parks in general and nickel and dining everything while removing stuff that used to be free, yet the parks are still packed out the door
I would expect Disney to have team building events that featured known Disney characters; unlike this "Star Wars" cruise-muster simulation. Likewise, I would expect Disney to include men in their team building in some role besides just "villain" or "fool." These people just paid $125 for this one hour of hearing about a "captain" who isn't even a real captain. Heck, real cruise ship captains don't try to act as important as this in real life.
@@mervjackson3957 Just say you hate Women and move on. This is theater. Can't even have a Woman be a pretend captain with out the peanut gallery pissing all over themselves.
This looks like a lot of fun outgoing people. I feel like I'd be tired of the experience and want to stay in the cabin after just this 20 minute show. The actors are doing a great job, hope they enjoy doing it
It feels like most of this is scripted vs ad libbed. That crew is doing a lot of heavy lifting considering what they had to work with. Watching it does make it look more fun than I expected. Just wish it wasn’t prohibitively expensive.
@@magnificentchopin5548 that would make sense. I’m sure they also have “stage shows” vs just interactions. I’m also curious how things are going to change down the line whey the audience isn’t as enthusiastic to “play back” since these first groups probably have the most SW mega fans.
I am curious how the crew shifts work. Like on a regular cruise does the same crew remain the entire voyage so those cast members basically work that entire three day "'voyage " do they remain "on the ship"or do they depart and return
One little detail that isn't a big deal, but kind of bothers me. The little white modules on the railing, they kinda mess with symmetry of the room. They should move it to the center or add another on the right side.
I love this! I've watched several vids of this and it'll probably be the closest I'll ever get to go on this. I love dinner theater and escape rooms. Some find it corny but I like it. I think that was the mistake Disney made. Besides the price! They advertised it as a hotel, when they in fact should have advertised it more as a multi day adventure/theater experience with accomodations. So peoples expectations ended up more on the hotel than the experiece. Which I gotta say looks awesome. But not $6000 awesome LOL. Thanks for taking us along.
Yeah now that I know that's what it was? I kinda wish Disney was more honest. I absolutely hate Star Wars but if the price had been right, I might go binge the movies and be convinced to join in. Playing along with these types of things is my jam and this would have been fun for the right group of people.
The First Order officer that addresses the crowd made giggle. He sounds just like Stephen Tobolowsky's character in Spaceballs. "You fools! You've captured their stunt doubles!" I have never been on a terrestrial cruise, so perhaps it is just my own ignorance speaking, but why does the crew of the Halcyon want to 'train' the passengers in Bridge Operations? Do they do that on ocean vessels? I doubt it, and no one that I know who has been on a cruise (which is barely nobody) has mentioned it. Where in the Star Wars canon timeline does this take place? I heard it was at a time when the Jedi were almost extinct, like in the last three movies. At that time, there are only two people in the entire universe wielding light sabers. Why would any bunch of Canto Bites want to participate in light saber 'training'? And, since the only people who can afford to take a cruise on the Halcyon are the rich, and the wealthy are firmly on the side of the First Order, why would any of them want to handle light sabers or aid the Resistance while on board? I understand that the experience is for wealthy Star Wars fans, and who among us wouldn't want to handle a light saber, right? But in the scheme of the LARP story taking place on board the Halcyon, none of this really makes any sense. Guess you have to be there?
This show was surprisingly okay. Honestly the whole thing is still not for me ( when I go on vacation I don't need drama ) but if you stop looking at it as a "$5,000 hotel" and think of it as the 2-day experience it really is, somehow it's palatable. Now if Disney could do this with the Adventurer's Club, or even that haunted hotel experience that Michael Eisner and Mel Brooks once planned.... I'd be down for that. I'd even go to a Universal one if they did Harry Potter and I'm not even that into all that Potter stuff. Overall, everyone was giving it 100% except for the droid. That's the worst acting I've ever seen by an astromech. Where the hell did they get this guy, Carousel of Products?
This looks really cheesy, like they're really heavy on the theatricality of trying to immerse the guests in an experience. It's making me wish they just built a Star Wars themed hotel with some immersive theming and costumed characters, made the prices more reasonable, and let the guests do their thing.
Imagine if Universal made a themed Hogwarts resort and you were placed in Houses? I'm surprised they didn't capitalize on something like that when building the lands into their parks. I think Universal can learn a thing or two from this Disney experience.
I wish we can go on but we can’t it’s too expensive 😢 I wish that they’ll give Star Wars guys who can’t afford to stay for 4 days and 2 nights a discount that would be nice though
Fun intro, but I'd had to be a shorter kid looking up that whole time. Even as an adult it feels like it'd be pretty tiring standing for the whole thing and looking up.
Be honest, watching these reviews and images it doesn't feel like star wars at all. The captain and her assistant are chubby middle aged women who seems to just yell and have no charisma at all. The fact that half of the guests are wearing normal clothes is just takes the immersion away. The whole things looks like a lame Broadway show. Definitely not worth $6k.
A vacation for the nft buyer. This looks so awful. Not a knock on the cast members they are doing the best they can with a poorly executed idea. So cheesy feel bad for anyone that spends $6k on this “experience”
As a one night cruise for 1495 USD I'd be on it. But two nights with the same characters and people and NO POOL(!!!) for 4800 USD... nah. I am a Star Wars fan since the 70's but this is just too far from the Star Wars I like.
Star Wars Episode X: Menopause Seriously, are any men allowed to work on this ship Disney? Oh right, they're only allowed to be villains. This is the most sexist display I have ever seen.

Ok I get it light speed and droids and that weird ass Rodian with the unmoving face…. You have all the money in the world Disney what are you doing this is not Star Wars? fell asleep watching that whole part, boring. love the content
Pretty cool

What did you really think is the question? Honestly
It kinda reminds me of the Adventurers Club but in space...and expensive
That First Order Lieutenant Croy is amazing. He is carrying this whole experience to be honest.
Jeez a first order sympathizer
he's so great with the kids. as always, the villain is the fun role
He is brilliant. All of these improv actors are pretty great. Wish we could experience this IRL.

So happy I found a recording of this! My kids (William and Andrew) were the ones Captain Keevan spoke to at 6:10. Was a great experience. :)
You should of had your kids beat up the one brat that was going NA NA NA NA NaH Jk kids are kids I’m sure it’s all part of the experience lol
Ok Normy

I noticed they had captain ditch the little "never wake a sleeping mothcat" little joke.
The first order LT’s acting is fantastic. Shoot, I’d go just to support him.
Cant wait to see more, this part of the ship looked so so, for a meeting area and first impression I didnt see much excitement in the details...
