a bit over price IMO, we were on a long thought process as to whether it's the new BRV, Veloz or this Xpander Cross, but in the end, we went with BRV (top of the line).,better fuel efficiency, more power, honda sensing and of course the reliability of Honda. I honestly thought, we made the right choice..

Di bale nang mas cheap plastics ang gamit sa loob basta may ambient lighting(wahahaha), at di bale nang worst ang NVH basta madaming driver aids pang baby lalo na sa new drivers. So yes, I do hope those MMPC execs would realize with this vid and comments box how the market isn't really all about build quality esp in the subcompact MPV segment and somehow, the way the new Xpander Cross was packaged will still affect its performance in terms of sales kahit na halos may pila for the said model, which again could've had more if some of the missing features didn't went missing in the local spec. As for the highlighted cons, well can't complain about the "stronger AC" since most probably Ai isn't used to manual aircons with 8-speed blower levels so most likely they expected more sa number 3-4 level and turned out to be not as strong as to the similar levels sa mga naka 4-speed blower lang, and can't also disagree with the fuel economy since it varies on traffic conditions in the city and highway. At the very least, other reviews were able to get 17-19km/l out of this in much favorable conditions hehe. And yes if bang for the buck labg pag-uusapan, nothing beats the GLS trim. But with the discounts of more or less 100k, you can bring home an Xpander Cross with a price very close to the SRP of the GLS. It'll boil down to preference, like how I hate the two tone scheme for the orange and white options 😬 Nice Yaris too at the recent Streetcustomsph meet btw, di lang na nakaapproach haha.
my wishlist for the xpander cross -1.5liter turbo or atleast a 1.8 N/A or a 2liter NA or hybrid -cvt -bigger screen - with all of that upgrade price to be the same or 1.4M
The Xpander is best in ground clearance... and it may be the only thing that sets it apart from all other MPVs. My family eventually settled for it, and it was the ultimate deciding factor for them to get the Xpander over all else.
If you want the Xpander line, best to get the regular GLS variant. There's not much significant differences between the GLS and the Cross, except for the styling... and that's about it. I mean, who really, really cares if the Cross has a more aggressive SUV styling than the regular one? It's still got the same ground clearance, wheel/tyre size, drivetrain, suspension, and engine with the regular Xpander, and the safety/technology features are waaaaayy lacking compared to the top of the line BR-V VX, Veloz V, and Stargazer GLS Premium. And to think the Xpander Cross is the 2nd-most expensive MPV (no, not SUV) in the PH market just behind the BR-V VX, yet the cheaper Veloz V and Stargazer GLS Premium offer way more amenities such as bigger infotainment displays, 6 airbags, driver aids, CVT transmissions, just to name a few. I think the only (and only) thing that the entire Xpander line has over all MPVs is that it offers the highest ground clearance at 225 mm, which eventually became the ultimate deciding factor for my family (mom, dad, and kuya) to get the Xpander GLS over the Stargazer GLS Premium which we considered, and that I was the only one who really, really fell in love with the Hyundai offering. Now, don't misunderstand yourselves, I do love our Xpander GLS and have been enjoying driving it all along, however whenever I see Hyundai Stargazers (especially the GLS Premium variant) plying the streets, I can't help myself thinking, "TOTGA". So here comes my advice for top-of-the-line MPV buyers: please avoid the Xpander Cross. If you are willing to spend a bit extra within the 1.3-million range, get the Honda BR-V VX. If you want a TOTL MPV within the 1.2-million range, there's the Stargazer GLS Premium, which I must say is the best value-for-money MPV in the PH market. *As of posting this comment, this has been the longest comment in this video, as well as one that I've written. What the Xpander Cross has going for it is Yaw control (which can be useful) and the digital instrument cluster lifted from a top spec Nissan Xtrail. If you think of it like that its good value😁. I wouldnt jump to a BRV at that price as the BRV just isnt as practical as a Xpander Cross, plus Earth Dreams can quickly become Earth Nightmares as time passes. The Hyundai is a bit mean on the lower trims and there are some things missing at that spec compared to the Xpander Cross.

But at a cheaper price point than the BR-V and XPC the Stargazer GLS Premium offers a lot of features that the XPC doesn't. Yes, the Stargazer also has an all-digital instrument cluster, although I find the one on the XPC a bit cooler.

The Montero has Double Wishbone with Coil Springs and Stabilizer for the front, and 3-link Coil Springs and Stabilizer for the rear. Completely different setups. On paper the one on the Montero is better, but they need it since it’s an SUV. Imoagine putting ‘em on the Xpander and the MPV will surely get the much better ride. But MPVs don’t really need those fancy suspension setups found on most SUVs since MPVs are built on a unibody chassis, which that alone makes it way more comforable than ladder-frame chassis found on SUVs. 🙂
I usually get 8-10km/L in city driving, which should be pretty normal for most cars. Provincial driving was 15 km/L at best, so far with our XP being with us for 5 months.
Indeed! Better spend just a few couple of thousand pesos for all bells and whistles on the BR-V, or get the Stargazer or Veloz for less price, yet still more features. Best to get the Stargazer :)))

Meron kaming 3rd generation montero sports na well known for it's suspension and smooth ride, pero mas ma smooth and ride nitong xpander.
Veloz is better, except for the ground clearance. A good value for money too. IMO

I feel you, the only let down with the Suzuki for me is the lack of Cruise Control. The interior space is better than this.
