I think Chiron is so popular among new players because it delivers a big chunk of damage in one go and because it's ranged it feels safe. And the effect of all the arrows homing in looks cool. I don't speed run anything, but watching Hades speedruns made me way better at the game. I wasn't using my dash enough, I didn't know how the god pool or styx sacks worked, I didn't consider that some boons were better for certain weapons (hello Hera + Crush Shot). The Hermes Cup and later your videos made me a much stronger player, even if I still think anything above about 22 heat isn't much fun.
Curse of Nausea gives a ~43% increase to dps while Low Tolerance gives you 60%, so long as you can keep weak and 8 stacks of hangover on. This is actually an instance where that one aphro boon that makes weak last longer is moderately useful (still don't know why you can pom it though). I'd say Curse of Nausea is the better boon since it doesn't have extra conditions that have to be met, it's just a straight 43% increase.
One thing this has over other OP Chiron builds is that hammers are essentially an "extra": you can apply the maximum possible drunken stacks with a single volley, so it becomes a game of finding duo boons and that's generally easier than hoping to find Relentless and/or Concentrated Volley.
Underworld Customs is one of the first heat options I consistently started using. While it can have you making some difficult decisions, imo it has its place for several reasons: 1. It teaches you not to be too dependent on specific boons as a requirement to win. YOU can do this. 2. Whether you do or don't have Convenience Fee activated, it guarantees you extra gold if needed for wells and shops along the way*. 3. If you don't like any of your choices, and don't have/want to waste keys, there's a decent chance that you'll get to purge a wack boon you felt forced to accept. 4. It doesn't actually make the game harder in ways that matter (damage output or durability) but still helps you complete some heat-based objectives. UC just became a no-brainer, like Forced Overtime, as I built toward my first 32-heat win recently. *The only time UC really sucks is when you have a certain curse from Chaos active and can't receive gold.
I find it better to get Aphrodite's attack and Artemis' cast instead. Aphrodite's attack gives me free privileged status as I have to attack an enemy to target it with chiron anyways. Also if i can get low tolerance later it means every enemy i target with chiron is already weak and can stack to 8. (Also heart rend can be cool but not as useful)
Good stuff, the extra hangover stacks can contribute to Art/Dio duo boon and grant more crit chance by default which could make the attack that much stronger. Although some people say getting Ares is better for faster tic damage (ares/dio duo boon) which is really the main focus of this build is hang over damage
@@TMind109 yeah what i like to do is get aphro on attack and ares on revenge then i can get both while the actual attack i have gives weak for low tolerance to work

I think for me the time i stopped caring about getting good, or rather getting unreasonably good, was when I did get good at one game. I've thought about it/sorta tried for other games before, but never got anywhere with it. I think Hades was more appealing / easier to stick with because 1) each run is fairly short (minutes, not hours), 2) each run is different, which keeps things fresh (although also makes improving time a bit harder/more luck based), and ,by far the biggest reason, 3) the IGT means I can speedrun it wherever (I own it on the Switch) and don't have to worry about keeping track of time myself.

Not an expert but wouldn't Zeus or Artemis have more dps ? Having say that I'm sure if that's the speed runner's choice there is a very good reason I don't really understand
Artemis might be better but is more dependent on getting the right hammers, Zeus isn't great because there's a cooldown on the lightning strikes. Chiron isn't great for speedrunning in general, this is just a fun build you can do with it.
Speedrunning got me back into gaming. I hadn't really been gaming after the PS2 generation but I randomly came across some Dark Souls 1 speedruns right as Dark Souls 3 was about to release and it was just wildly entertaining to me and it made me want to play those games. I personally don't speedrun just because of the time investment and I personally enjoy a more chill gaming experience but watching them is fun.
I… i did it?? I cleared 32 heat? With the build on the video???? (An absolutely atrocious version cause i got no duo boons lmao + God Mode on cause now I just want to finish getting the stuff I’m missing)
i know this comment probably wont be seen by anyone, but to answer your question in this video regarding speed running, personally i dont do it for a multitude of reasons 1. time - i have to work 2 jobs just to get by in life, i dont have any time for myself, and the time i do have for myself i ant to spend it relaxing to make up for all the lack of time i have to relax through out the week. 2. the games i enjoy either have ridiculously fast speed runs like from 7-15 minutes, or the speed runs are like this game where unless i get god tier roles with RNG, i'd be spending 25+ minutes on just a single run, which also gets tossed back in to the timing aspect. The shorter minute ones are games that i just dont see myself being able to get that fast at, like i'll barely beat the game in 30+ minutes when i'm TRYING to go fast lmao I also feel like peoples builds dont work the same for me as they do for others. I tried doing a build exactly like this one, but i just dont seem to beat the bosses or the monsters from room to room all that fast, either i'm not doing enough damage, or my tick damage isn't doing enough, and i look up how to make it better, do what i have to to make it better, and i just dont see the results. 🤷♂ So i feel like i just dont understand things the way others do, maybe specific way to use certain weapons/attacks, and how to do things to make the damage better, but i also, once again, dont have the time to research it in order to get better lmao
I think Chiron is so popular among new players because it delivers a big chunk of damage in one go and because it's ranged it feels safe. And the effect of all the arrows homing in looks cool.

Woah woah woah where is the info about the bounty!

I would probably use aphro's attack to activate privileged status and take artemis's cast for duo boon.
best part of speedruning is meme runs
How do you exactly speedrun roblox?
Probably been asked before but why don't you pick up gemstones from bosses?
Don't need'em
I… i did it??
I cleared 32 heat?
With the build on the video???? (An absolutely atrocious version cause i got no duo boons lmao + God Mode on cause now I just want to finish getting the stuff I’m missing)
and recommend eris builds for 16 heat?

Ah the build that you’ll have pain in your thumb after playing a bit on controller :D
i did this with ares special and aphrodite attack
I love speed running but I'm way to much of a completionest to pull off speed runs myself lol 😆
100% runs of games are very much a thing! for example the Celeste 100% run world record is just under 1h40m
Since you asked, I couldn’t care less about speed running.
Why does Haelian pauses game so much? Is there any particular reason to it or?
Habit from Tight Deadline, pausing stops the clock.
@@Haelian ty for the reply ❤️
Lol we pretty much speedrun the same games
i know this comment probably wont be seen by anyone, but to answer your question in this video regarding speed running, personally i dont do it for a multitude of reasons 1. time - i have to work 2 jobs just to get by in life, i dont have any time for myself, and the time i do have for myself i ant to spend it relaxing to make up for all the lack of time i have to relax through out the week. 2. the games i enjoy either have ridiculously fast speed runs like from 7-15 minutes, or the speed runs are like this game where unless i get god tier roles with RNG, i'd be spending 25+ minutes on just a single run, which also gets tossed back in to the timing aspect.
The only thing more consistent than your Hades videos is the glory of your clickbait titles.
Don't forget the throat clear 😂
THIS BUILD ATE MY DOG AND IF YOURE NOT CAREFUL ITLL EAT YOURS TOO!!!!
