Don't know bout your school, but that ball looked more like a playground ball. Getting hit with one of those usually resulted in abrasions due to the rough texture on the ball. My school used foam filled balls for dodgeball for this reason.
Mascot suits are very hot to be in. I worked for a radio station in Charleston, SC. It can be quite hot and humid here and I had limits on how long I could be in the suit based on the temp outside. The head was designed so the mouth was where I could see out and was a mesh material to let air in. At the time I was hired the head only had a small hole in the top to let air pass thru. I took it upon myself to install a small 12vdc fan and battery pack with switch. I let it pull air out thru the hole in the top and it would force air in thru the mouth which blew across my face. I was one of two who wore the suit. After the other person used the suit and saw the fan, I became their hero. Closing note, this mascot during a Christmas parade got a higher spectator rating than Santa did.
Why are people so pressed over this lol, I didn’t even catch it in the video. It’s not that big a deal, I promise you won’t be infected with the wokeness
GREAT JOB ON HOW BASKETBALL, AND SHOELACES AND MASCOT COSTUMES , AND MEGAPHONE ARE MADE /HOW IT’S MADE /SCIENCE CHANNEL THE SCIENCE CHANNEL ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the fursuit... I mean the "mascot costume"
Same thing pretty much >w
its so cool seeing techniques im familiar with on this show! but god imagining a mascot head made out of fiberglass is making my neck hurt
As a kid I remember being fascinated with the Mascot Costume creation
Does a video of " How it's made: "How it's made" exist?
The the crew , the voice of how it's made, ect....
The old style basket ball has a middle school dodgeball in it 😂
The best bouncing ball, in my opinion. It made a sort of satisfying "ping" when it bounced.

@@spammanchan4622 i had one school use foam another use these rubber balls and another use medicine balls.
@@spammanchan4622 yeah I guess you’re right. It’s a “kickball” but we were rebels

Did anybody else hear the sound of that basketball bladder smack them in the head
Yes, that hollow, ringing “boing”….
The "craftsperson 👀" completely missed hitting the punch with the mallet.
😭 it's clearly a dragon!
Waiting for Huggbees to make the Actually Made video about the Fursuits
I love watching these types of video's
Keep making Long form, So I feel Nastalgic Watching. Like it's TV again.
I should replicate one of those basketball
The megaphone process missed the step of reflowing the solder
Also missed the step where they hand solder the wires connecting to the switches.
Nice!
We laugh that he called it a dinosaur, but I'm pretty sure dinosaur bones are what sparked the legends of dragons in the first place.
I wouldn’t mind having one of those basketballs 🏀
Well they can only fit so much info into a 5-8 minute segment.
@@michaelmurray11189 I think you reply was meant for someone else, and mistakenly wrote it here!?
You saying that you don't have.....the balls
this mascot looks more like a DRAGON

thank you . ( 2024 / June / 17 )
Remain open to learning. You won't always be correct.
Calling it a "bladder" makes me uncomfortable lol
I think the craftsperson refers to himself as a craftsman
I'm going with the assumption that the narrator has new guidelines to change pronunciation for the "woke"
Why are people so pressed over this lol, I didn’t even catch it in the video. It’s not that big a deal, I promise you won’t be infected with the wokeness
@@spectre9318 It wouldn't be a new guideline, the leather basketball episode was season 30, that was 2017
No, it's Kevin. He referred himself as Kevin
And Bob
I think the craftsman doesn’t give a flying rip if he’s called a craftsperson. And neither should you.
There was no such thing as nylon when they made leather basketballs. No polyester either.
“Craftsperson” is the most awkward way to not offend someone. Dumb.
A craftsperson? 🤦🏻♂️
Craftperson....I don't think I've ever seen a "them" working with the skill and precision needed to star in one of these videos.
How do you know?
@@jenerhart7025Just a hunch but it looks like the DEI people make it to this channel so i may be wrong in the future.
Craftsperson😂😂
On the next how ots made... Babies.
