It's not a sample, it's the original version of the song. Justin Bieber sent a recording of himself singing and playing piano to Skrillex and Diplo and they flipped it into this.
Even then, it does not change the meaning of sample itself. Some producers actually sampling their own previous work into another work produced by themselves.
