I missed Walthamstow, I lived in Chingford since 12 years old till 20 years old and Walthamstow was the hanging out place, days 😪 back in 2005, yeah😀 Thank You for the Video😀
Yet another excellently filmed and narrated video Peter, in this case of a location I am very familiar with. The weather was the same as here in South Tottenham , only a couple of miles away, but I don't see that as a problem as such weather gives the opportunity to take fabulously atmospheric pictures and you have certainly taken them today. Congratulations.
Ah My Local Bus Station, There's a decent variety of buses shame there are now only 3 operators instead of 5 earlier in the year when stagecoach took over HCT Group and Tower Transit and became the biggest operator in the Walthamstow area.
I took the 97 to Leyton yesterday, so uncomfortable I got off two stops early, returned on the 69 and didn't want to get off, Stagecoach seriously need to upgrade every soon.
I do miss the 275, still by far my favourite route I've driven. I seem to remember when I worked at Leyton there was a waiting list of 40 people to get on the route at one point lol. 215 was quite a nice route aswell, very hilly though
@@BristolRE Its a proper drivers route. Its a long route like the 121 but with pretty open and clear roads around Woodford and Chigwell. You get to put your foot down, and to top it off the passengers are very respectful, they line up at bus stops, they greet you and say thank you. The way I think I would put it now is its got the driving of the 121 past 2100 with the passengers of the 313 lol
@@Queensburyheights Complete polar opposite I would say. Its very hard work driving around the Tottenham High Road area. I honestly dont know how 149 and 279 rota drivers can do it everyday.
It was my error not yours I saw the w15 in the video and thought it was the route I drove that was until I found a picture of one of our old buses and it had on the blind w19 Walthamstow. Incidentally it was an old wright handybus dennis dart. That looked like a brick was not wheelchair accessible and a nightmare with mums and buggies as had narrow entrance doors and thick steps. What were you thinking wright bus back then.
Thanks for sharing in the rain, loads of great captures thanks for sharing hope you have a great Christmas and a great 2023
Thank You, and you too
Glad to see you ventured into my neck of the woods, and left unscathed!
Only just, Lol
Good video Peter. Nice to see a variety of buses at Walthamstow Central 🤩
Thanks
Another quality video! Also, taking place in our casual British weather at Walthamstow Central! Keep up the work! 👍

Great video Peter! There must have been some problems on the 34, as it's a relatively frequent bus compared to many others at Walthamstow (e.g. 215)
Thanks, and yes, there could have been
I used to do the 34 route (Metroline) for about 5y and later with Arriva for 1y
In a way I kinda miss the job.
Great filming by the way. 😀
Bruno Dias
Thanks
Great video Pete. First LTs bus was Arriva London RRS. Before your Video started.
Yes, I clocked that when I edited the clips. It doesn't count because I didn't identify it, Lol
@@BristolRE lol 😆
Love the videos Peter! Seasons Greetings! One place I’ve never been to photograph vehicles is Walthamstow Central!
Thank You! Seasons Greetings to you too.
To be honest I’m just happy if a bus has ANY type of running number, so many have nothing.
Indeed

I remember the 69 when it was a routemaster. A very long time ago and a large distance away. I moved away from Walthamstow decades ago.
I don't think you're missing too much these days
@@BristolRE I don't think I am either. I still have family around ilford and manor park who say the same.
I used to drive the w15 back in 2002 when it was operated by first capital out of rainhamdepot essex. Back then it started at Ilford.
Nice

Yes, those 69 buses are nice
those go ahead e400evs are everywhere. it's actually irritating how many there are.
Lol
Yet another lovely bus spotting video peter, i am glad you have gone (not too) far just to inspire us. Clap for him in the replies!
Thanks! Lol
@@BristolRE No problem lol
Huge Enviro 400 fan me....but always been an Alexander fan ...always liked the ALX400 on a Volvo
Nice to look at, but that's about it. Not the best cab layout, and terrible suspension.

The 275 was the best. The reason for that is the hella tight corner at woodford.
😮😮
Looking at the 215, who will be going camping or hiking in the rain

Great video Peter
Thanks
Epic video mate 😊😊😊
Cheers
Another great video, those NP buses all look a bit grubby.
Thanks, and yes, they do!
I have to make a correction it was not the w15 it was in fact the w19.
Probably! My eyes were everywhere trying to take in the fleet number, as well as the route and destination!

2:22 Did that guy just flip you off? Luckily more thumbs up than middle fingers though
Got a few nods and thumbs up.
@@BristolRE They were referring to the guy walking across the crosswalk, wearing a grey jacket, tough lot in Walthomstow!LOL.
@@MrSilverside Ah! I was looking at the bus drivers!
@@BristolRE ,so was I,than I noticed the guy walking across, perhaps he was shy.......lol

What make it confusing Stagecoach London Took over HCT still have old logos. Surprised Go Ahead London NP buses looking dirty 😅

Nice one
Thanks
Nice video Peter. Some buses can be extremely filthy when there in service, it should be washed and cleaned. Might be the last video of 2022.
Thanks. When we had the snow a lot of the bus washes froze up. Even so, they should be working again now!
@@BristolRE Ok, the video will be the last one of 2022 I think.
@@TrainBoy-tf9gh Maybe. I'm not working New Years Eve so I may do one then

Thanks
@@BristolRE you are welcome
Do they still use the third door on the boris buses
Yes all 3 doors are used
Yes
Nice video just to let you know I have done a new video
Thanks, I'll take a look
372 to Lakeside
The stagecoach fleet of buses is old why is that
No idea
Stagecoach uses laminated paper for the running number now
We have started doing that at Arriva (Enfield). The 307 buses have laminated for the running numbers.
