“People talk about saving the world by picking up cans and bottles, but the one thing I learned from Earth day is that saving the planet meant a lot to me, but doing it with my father meant the world to me.” What a line that was.
That father and son monologue got me tearing dry tears. Grew up without a Pops but I'm hoping to be great dad to my kids; just like Julius here. What a great show this was.
A A yeah me too. Instead of trying to find a good father for her children my mother was more concerned about getting laid. That is a heavy burden to carry all of your life.
Shit homies, sometimes even when you have a dad, you still don't have a father. Even though we live together, mine spent almost all of his life drinking, smoking, gambling and avoiding the fact that he has a family. My mother was doing the roles of both parents. Didn't even have someone to teach me how to tie my shoes or put on a tie. And I feel y'all too, I hope to that one day when I have kids, I can be a great father to them.
Yeah same here bruvs my dad used to drinking then later passed away and my mom cause of the mistakes she did in her life caused a lot of opportunities on me so just gonna build up and have my life and by the life lessons hope i can give my kids a beautiful life of which I never got to have
It'll probably be easier to save the planet by killing all the people. Let the planet save itself, we're just in the way. If you don't know why we're in the way of saving the planet then I don't need to be here talking about it.
I don’t think Rochelle explained herself well. I think she means we criticize what our loved ones do because we want to see them do better and live up to expectations. If she did not care then she would let her children misbehave and pick up bad habits. In the same way teachers stop students to give feedback, to see them improve.
I disagree with all that yelling is a sign of love and if anybody believe that dysfunctional nonsense is learning to not control their emotions. If you can't communicate calmly and respectfully without putting fear in the minds of others. Then only people who will deal with somebody like that are those with low self esteem or who's emotional tormented or extremely abused
I like to think she meant that correcting people's behavior is only done when you care for them because you care enough to see them do the right things, like teacher correcting their student. Rochelle seems to word lessons to her children a little poorly, like when she explained why Tonya should not seek attention through bras. Her analogy was very difficult to follow, but she tends to come from a good place.
To all you with father's in your life spend time with them especially you young's ones who are in the age were you want to spend time on the game or with your friends but trust me spending time with your father is the best feeling .. I lost my dad when I was 14 and even tho I got lots of memories of him I don't have many with him and no soft shit but that sometimes hurts lol
The ending of this episode is the homeless person buying styrofoam ice chests, aerosol cans, margarine, whiskey, cigarettes... and taking it all in a plastic bag 🤣

@@ArcticWolf0000 that's why the show ended that year. Its because Julius dies the next year so imagine the show having him die... too sad :/

It makes me so glad that this show portrayed a father in a positive light for once, very rare in this day and age. He's a good role model.
@@TheLocoRunner FR, Julius worked 2 jobs to provide for his family and even when he had absolutely no free time, he still found time for his family.
