The Korg X3 has fantastic sounds! he first synthesizer I bought in 90s! It's great for pad sounds but also for guitar sounds, bass sounds, synth sounds and many more! I made some songs with that synth!
The X3 can create the most amazing sounds. Those that come with the synth are not always the best. I always buy two of the very best synths, there are two of these in my studio.
This synth has great potential, even compared to synths in 2015. The rack is more desirable. Really nothing better from KORG until the KARMA. I have a couple X3Rs and I continually go back to them for creating new sounds.
oh, my woodworking man in the music alley on YT, surprised a bit not gonna lie. Have you ever gotten to play something on this? I'm gettin it soon from my uncle who's been playing on it since 90's.
@@Karaon ha ha we woodworking folks get about, yes I did get to play it, that was in the very late 80s early 90s. It was my friend 'Dave' who had one, he was quite a good keyboard player and musician. Man youre lucky, so is it a 'heres a thing you can have for nothing to play about with' sort of deal?
Great video! I have lost the internal battery with all the sounds except GM and I can not put them from a PC, (the keyboard does not indicate that it is receiving data) so I wanted to fix the disk drive. The connection works fine because I send notes from the PC to the keyboard and they sound. Also if I play the keyboard I see the notes on the PC. Sending Sysex from the keyboard to the PC also works. In all cases in the USB cable the LEDs light up so I see that the data is sent from and to the keyboard, however it does not recognize them when sending them from the PC (it does not even show on the screen that sysex data is being received) . I think it is a problem with the configuration of the keyboard or the PC software. I am using Midiox on the PC. As for the keyboard, I have followed the instructions in the manual regarding the configuration of the Global mode (filters, memory protection, etc.) but there is no way. I've tried changing the delay and buffer size and it doesn't work either. Can you please help me?
Hola Eduardo, encontré la solución. Lo estaba haciendo todo bien, el problema era que el cable no era bueno. Para poder enviar sysex tienes que tener un cable de calidad. Un saludo.
@@chavitdt341 Hello. Very grateful for the information, but do you have the model or manufacturer of the cable you are using? You can contact me on Skype: eduardo mercadante@outlook.com or on whatsapp 5513988662172 Brazil! I have had this keyboard for many years and I need to fix it.
Hey, man! If you still have a Korg X3, could you take pictures of the detailed configuration of only one program, the voice, namely, "Sunrise", A 00, the settings of the envelope frequency, amplitude, samples included in the program, etc., would like to try to create that voice on a virtual synth, like a Korg M1... once on X3 did the song, and used that voice, but there was only a cassette recording, and wanted to re-do already by through the computer, and now there's no way to see X3...
@@я.киша Dude, besides that you are answering to a nine years old post, listen how the piano is played or the alt sax after the piano demo. Have you ever heard a sax playing two notes at the same time? This is a bad demo where instruments are not played as the real ones. Play a piano like a piano and not like a guitar. Play a sax at least somewhere near to how a sax player would play it. That was my point and not the number of notes played at once.
I have a X3R I traded for the Korg TR rack which was newer had all the same sounds but is limited the X3R is bigger and has more capacity and capabilities than that of the TR rack no bells or whistles. TR ranged from the old trinity which was ok. The Triton took its place and then some.

Where can i purchased korg floppy disc any idea guys
You have problem as "drive not ready"?
how to edit sound like that how

Is the X3 better than O1W?
No, X3 has more compressed sound. That 01W was top of the line, X3 was always half the price.
This is simply a very bad demo.
i see someone is looking for just singular notes ??
