OMG this brings back some great memories. I did so many sequences on the X3 and X3R back in the early 90's that I still listen to today. Absolutely fantastic unit and in my opinion was better than than the N364 the brought out to replace it. They don't make them like they used to.
Omg this the CLASSIC... Memphis hip hop producer Blackout used this keyboard along his discography during the 90s and 2000s, what gave him such a characteristic sonority. Blackout got them psycho sounds, good recommendation I believe.
@@marcoballa I remember when I bought mine in the mid 90s and it was considered a baby / inferior board to the 01W, the successor of the M1. I thinks that doesn't hold up, it was and still is a great board. BTW: a little fun fact: did you knew the successor to the M1 was supposed to be called the M10 but some dude at Korg saw it up side down, so they called it the 01W? 🙂
ciao, thanks a lot for comment! that guitar sound is similar to many other (better) sounds on other keyboards/workstation. something like telecaster clean guitar 👍 add chorus and reverb/delay and that is the sound...

Hello man! I have a question, Dimmu Borgir (a metal band) apparently used this keyboard on their first album. In the songs there is a very characteristic sound that I have not been able to find in other keyboards such as the Korg x5 or x5D ... well, there are similar sounds but it is not the same ... Do you know if this sound is on this keyboard (korg x3)? I will leave you two songs. In this one, the sound of the start (just when it starts): ruclips.net/video/IqzfTzFF_Bs/видео.html And in this one, it sounds at min 0:36 approximately: ruclips.net/video/kWJMSPqn5oU/видео.html If my question is too complicated, don't worry!
Ciao, It seems something like a "female chorus/voice". Yes, there is something very close included in many keyboards. I do not have the X3 any more so unfortunately I'm not able to check!!!!
ciao! nothing to program... I just plug it and use it as any damper/sustain pedal. maybe you have problem with pedal polarity? some damper/sustain pedals have a polarity switch, try with that (if any). maybe there is an internal parameter regarding the sustain polarity (I don't remember, I do not have that synth at the moment)
There is a setting somewhere, perhaps in the global settings? I'm assuming your polarity is reversed (from memory). For many keyboards the pedal gets confused if you are pressing it when you turn the machine on.

I just found one for 150 in a charity shop and it’s in pretty good condition! Not always but fairly often a lot of the buttons aren’t very responsive so I have to press them quite hard or a few times which I don’t mind considering how old and retro it is. Great find anyway, loving it so far and it’s my first proper synth so looking forward to learning what it can do :D
I’m a composer, I use my X3 with my computer. I use Protools and FL Studio, It’s either I play it as a midi keyboard or take midi notes from X3 to play them with a plug-ins like Keyscape/Omnisphere/Nexus etc. to compare the difference between the plugin sounds and korg X3 sounds then I pick what’s best for my music production (beats) or generate UNISON MIDI Chords from the UNISON WIZARD Software that provides you with infinity Chords and Melodies and Sometimes I use UNISON MIDI CHORDS “Folders” then link them back to my korg X3 to play those MIDI notes and scroll through korg X3 different sounds. It’s a very tiring process but trust me you will enjoy to use the now technology with the old technology together ❤️✨🙏
