- Abigail was stuck at home with her cousin Nick. They were having a discussion on the sofa when he asked her: Are you single? She said yes.. Nick smiled and then disappeared. Then Abigail was spying on his room to see if he was in there, but as she came closer to see where he was a hand grabbed her from inside the room. Nick was stronger and did what he wanted to her that night and she got pregnant as a result.
This video tells her story of how it happened, what she had to go through and how she learned how to deal with it. Luckily she found the strength to speak up and her cousin got locked up for what he did. We're happy that Abigail is in a loving environment with her child and her husband who supported her through all of it.
We chose this story because we want to encourage people to speak up if something similar has happened to them and to seek help if they're still in such a situation. We hope this video will encourage people to feel empathy and compassion for those who have gone through such experiences. And we hope that it will encourage us all to do what we can to prevent these things from happening.

I had a similar situation well it wasn't with a family member, but a coworker I like she did blamed myself for what happened and I just felt dirty and felt like in some way I cheated on my boyfriend. I didn't want to tell anyone I just wanted to forget all about what happened and hope I could move on, but I saw him constantly at work and he always tried to talk to me and act like nothing happened. Eventually I just broke down and told my best friend what happened she was there for me and convinced me to tell my boyfriend and well luckily he didn't blame me like I was blaming myself. I'm lucky to have such a loving boyfriend and a wonderful best friend who stayed by my side through all this and helped me do the toughest thing which was report him to both the police and the higher ups of my job now I never see him again and I finally moved on from what happened and am able to live my life
