With regular cleaning and maintenance of your everyday carry, you have significantly lowered the risk of an issue occurring with your firearm. If you are carrying every day, dirt and sweat from it being holstered all day can cause the gun to become dirtier much faster than hunting firearms, or firearms that are stored away. Cleaning will remove any buildup, and will lower inaccuracies that could occur with your shooting.
