      @@10_Per_Gram Gen 5. It is the first handgun I purchased, after reading reviews on a decent gun for a handgun beginner. I like it.

      @@garyrintelmann1183 those are good to I just dont like the look or apparence of them over the other generations especially the slide and the gen 5 mags you can't use with other generations like the 3s in 2s in 1s

    What was the MC-7 bore cleaner on the right hand side of the screen there for. He never used it for the demonstration. If not, why have it in the video?

    For glock 19 Gen 3 19mm using round 3 inch Otis cotton patch.... Do you use one or two patches at a time to clean inside of bore?

    • @OtisTechnology
      @OtisTechnology  8 месяцев назад

      2 patches are ideal but you can get by with 1; if you use the Panoply patch you only need 1 becuase they are very thick.

    • @luisjuarez1200
      @luisjuarez1200 8 месяцев назад

      @@OtisTechnology thank you for the reply. Just noticed that I had a type error... 19mm should have been 9mm. You probably figured that out. Thanks again.... I used two patches initially but felt really tight. Just did not want to damage the bore.

    If u dont clean all the cleaner off ur gun might that be the reason why it builds rust? I cleaned my gun and came back to look at it a day or 2 later and it had orange dust on it like a rust type residue but it wiped right off. Was it because i didnt take all the gun cleaner off the slide left it kinda wet?

    • @OtisTechnology
      @OtisTechnology  2 года назад

      This depends on what you were using. What were you using? With FP10 CLP or O85 CLP you do not have to wipe it off but you should remove excess that you don't want on your hands, clothes or in your holster. CLP cleans lubricates and protects from rust. If you're using "cleaner" like a Quick Scrub type of product you need to apply CLP after because it is taking away all lubricant along with the fouling and debris. Bore cleaner shouldn't be used on the exterior of the firearm; it is intended for the bore only and should be followed by a lubricant, such as CLP.

    Cleaner needs to be on patch on all sides of patch. If barrel has lots of rounds through it may want to presoak inside barrel and let it sit for a while.

    does the copper bore brush scratch the inside of the barrel? should I use the bore brush that comes with the Glock?

    • @jcastle614
      @jcastle614 3 года назад

      Lots of people just prefer one over the other, nylon bristle brush works fine, I personally like the copper bristles ,copper is much softer than the steel your barrel is made from, so it won't scratch (damage) your barrel. Nylon bristle are just cheaper to manufacture than the more traditional copper ones. Either will be fine, just keep your firearm clean it's the most important thing. Hope that helps you out. Good shooting!!

    • @OtisTechnology
      @OtisTechnology  3 года назад +2

      The brass bore brush is softer than steel and will not cause any damage. The Otis Professional Cleaning Kit for Glocks comes with 3 bronze & 3 nylon bore brushes
