Thanks for the video, is there a way to format the check box? I don't want the black infill in the box, I'd rather the old version of a clear box and black tick. Thanks
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! Sadly, it doesn’t look like there’s a way to control the fill of the checkbox at the moment. It’s pretty much limited to only changing the color of the checkbox. Maybe they’ll have different types of checkboxes available in the future!
Hi Daryll, in which version of microsoft office i can see that check box button? I have ms office 365 but I can’t see the check box button in the insert. How can I fix it? I usually go to developer tab and it takes me time to finish my task inserting check boxes.
Hey! The feature is currently available through the Beta channel of Microsoft 365. Since you are using Office 365 already it’s only a few button clicks away! insider.microsoft365.com/en-us/join/windows
The title of your video says Office 365 which, from my understanding, is the online version. There is not a developer tab in the online version of Excel.
Hey! This is the Office 365 Desktop App, and this is the newest version of the checkbox so that you don’t need to use the one in the developer tab anymore.
I keep running updates to my 365 subscription, and i am NOT getting t his badly needed checkbox feature. I see I'm not alone.....does it really exist? What do I have to do to get it? I have the latest build, 2405 176... thank you
Typical Microsoft, making something easy, really hard. No Developer Tab available, so no Check Box available, something that every spreadsheet going back 20+ years has. Well done Microsoft for continuing to make easy things harder than they need to be.

It’s currently available to those on the Office 365 Insider Program so I imagine it will be available on Office 365.

Currently, this feature is only available for a portion of the Beta channel of Microsoft 365. Hopefully, it will roll out to everyone else soon!
