- Installation of BigBattery 72V LFP battery kit into a four-seater gem car by Polaris.
the kit comes with a charger and two lithium iron phosphate battery packs.
Each battery is model #
72V FALCN - LiFePO4 - 28Ah - 2.1kWh
and are connected in parallel to create 56 amp hours and 4.2 kwh
both batteries are located under the seat one in front of each other and are parallel together using a bus bar
The big battery charger is also connected to the bus bar
We did not use the stock charger in this installation but it is possible to repurpose the Delta q charger with a lithium profile if you have the software.
Our biggest concern was if the batteries would fit in the space and they did.
performance wise the GEM car was significantly lighter and quicker upon takeoff.
The only thing missing from this kit would be a battery fuel gauge that we are sourcing from Amazon. We do not expect the stock OE fuel gauge to be accurate with the lfp batteries.

How can the controller be reprogrammed to work with Li battereis? Is there a way to log into the GEM controller and change settings? This would help the fuel gauge and contactor work better.
I’m looking for the same answer did you ever find out?
Where would you recommend acquiring proper cables to hook up to GEM?
