Thank you so much for this video! I just recently started filming yoga videos for RUclips and this is super useful. I just realized that my camera is set for autofocus, this finally explains why I'm never happy with the focus :D
Thanks Cat! So far I've been filming with my iPhone, then recording a voice-over separately (also via iPhone), and then putting it all together in video editing software... Which seemed like a 'budget' thing to do (and quality-wise is okay'ish, too), but it's just SOOO time-consuming! I'm getting these Rode and Headset babies nooooow! Big hug to you from fellow Kat xo

I ordered the headset mic that plugs into the rode mic which you linked below but I don't think it's the correct description as the adaptor for it is different to the one your using 😂 its ok though im returning it and ordering the aux connector version x
When do you use your vlogging camera do you ever use it for yoga videos or literally just vlogs? I've just bought the sony zv1 to use for my yoga videos as a starting point until I get used to it then if I need a better camera in the future I will invest! Do you think the vlogging cameras are good enough?

Basec on your last activewear video i purchased a pair of the 'Girlfriend' leggings from the sports edit and so glad i did as they ate super comfortable, thank you for the recommendation and doing my a little bit extra for the environment. 👍
With the rode wireless go do you ever use that without having to plug it into a computer/phone? I mean if you were teaching in person classes could you use that as a mic not one that goes through a computer? I've got the rode but I can't seem to connect it properly to my camera when teaching zoom i can't have that plugged in and play music in the background

Sigma discontinued the 10-20mm F3.5 lens for Canon. Any good alternatives or am I looking for a used one now. I want the wide shot like you have for your yoga videos
Hi Cat, thanks for making this video- it's really useful to see how other teachers are setting up and what has worked for you! I film in a tiny room and struggle to get the full height of my body in the shot as I can't move the camera back any more- does your wide angle lens help you to capture more height at a closer range than a regular lens would? Thank you!!
This video was very helpful. I started my channel, I agree the voice over, It does not bring my personality into the teaching. I have the canon g7x but it stops at certain point. Does the canon dslr stops at some point.

Hi Cat, thanks so much for this video really helpful. But how do you get over the issue of the 30 min cut off on your DSLR? I have a cannon eos90d and it stops at 29.59 mins. Super annoying.

I found this on RODE's website: "The receiver will connect to smartphones 3.5mm TRRS input with an SC7 cable. This also applies to tablets. Additional adaptors may be needed in newer smartphone models to allow a 3.5mm input." Hope it helps :)
