Amber, I am so excited you’re so excited about this franchise! This is where the whole Infinity Saga starts to get real! Winter Soldier is one of my top movies, all the MCU movies done by the Russo brothers are top tier! “I’m more scared of the girl” keep that feeling… Chris Evans and Scarlet Johansen have been good friends and worked together since they were teenagers! And Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie became good friends starting this movie. I cannot wait to continue this journey with you! Guardians, Ant Man, Spider-Man, Dr Strange, more Avengers! This franchise really became its own little universe. But it is so well done!
"Sea Launch" was a real-life project I worked on in my years at Boeing. The support ship was used as the location for the "Lumerian Star" scenes in the first part of this film. The actual project involved a converted offshore drilling platform used as the launch pad, and the support ship to deliver the rockets and control the launch from a safe distance. That's pretty close to the story in the film that they were launching Project Insight satellites. Your question about "secret organization causing chaos" - Thousands of people can't keep a secret like that. There would be leaks. And we DO have an organization causing chaos - the CIA. They have done stuff like topple governments in Latin America and supported dictators. They had a bigger purpose, stopping the Soviet Union from spreading communism, but they used "dirty tricks" like assassination to do it. Cap wore the old suit because Bucky would be more likely to remember it. After Steve's mom passed away he was an orphan, that was the flashback scene. They shared an apartment after that, then fought together in World War II. Hydra could not erase *all* of Bucky's memories. Then he would forget stuff like languages and fighting skills. They only erased some of his memories, and fed him lies to get him to fight for them. Steve repeating what Bucky had said to him in the flashback triggered his old memories, and made him question what he was doing. Replacing the targeting blades is about the stupidest way to take down the helicarriers, but they did it for dramatic reasons. Washington, D.C. has lots of military in the area. Using missiles and artillery to take out the carrier engines would have been much simpler.
You caught both post credit scenes!! I'm so proud of you!!😂😂😂 For me this is still the best movie of the franchise. There are probably better "super hero movies" in this franchise, but when it comes to story this is the best one imo
Sebastian Stan (Bucky/Winter Soldier) and Chris Evans did a lot of their own fighting & stunts. Sebastian even walked around with a prop knife for months practicing that knife flip!
Cap is my favorite hero, too, and his trilogy of movies is one of the best in the MCU. This movie in particular is absolutely top-tier! Also, it's great that you're moving through these so fast, for multiple reasons. Not only is it awesome for us to not have to wait as long between reactions, but I think it'll also help you to catch all the call-backs and references to previous movies, since you've seen them more recently. Like you recognized Bucky immediately, and I've seen some reactors take a long time to remember who he is, which makes the story less powerful. And the deeper you get into the series, the more those call-backs and cross-references will mean.
I've always stuck around to watch the credits, even when there weren't post-credits scenes. I know that the people involved have no way of knowing that I watch their name scroll up that screen, but I feel it's good to acknowledge and respect ALL the people who helped to put a film together. Sometimes in a movie theatre I had a large drink and by the end of the film I really need to go get rid of some of it- but I go as quickly as possible, and come back from the bathroom and finish watching the credits, because I believe it's important. Obviously one cannot read every single name on the screen, but watching them go by, I think of all the hard work and dedication that makes movies possible. It's fun to look for unusual names among the crowd. It's interesting to see how effects are farmed out to different effects studios. It's interesting to see what music was used, and filming locations, and all of the stuff that the credits, credit. So I was accustomed to sticking around after the lights go up, already. Post-Credits scenes are fun bonus material that puts a cherry on top.
There's an interesting special feature on the DVD to this That "missed things/events" list that Steve was keeping and updating was different in content for select countries around the world, like the UK, australia/new zealand, spain, russia, germany, brazil etc. Really cool way to give context as to how Steve is "a man out of time"

@@darekotto3317Was it? Noooooo! Haven't gotten that far into the reaction yet but that's so disappointing. That's one of the quintessential Cap fight scenes.
Unfortunately other reactors getting them past is not an indication others can. I've seen reactors get strikes for stuff others don't. There's one channel that consistently has had to post, strike, edit and repost over and over again, until they have a very short review from stuff that many others were able to leave in. I don't know how 20 some reactors have no problem posting a majority of a movie, including all the key scenes and then one person gets a strike for the scene that all the others have. Some get strikes for a quick blurb of music, while another plays almost the entire song. It seems so arbitrary sometimes.
@@Logan_Baron This is true. Pretty sure the more traction a channel has, the more they can get away with. Reel Rejects, for example, can show a hell of a lot more than most channels but you also get more ads when you watch them. All a numbers game. Fun Falcon fact: created in 1968, he was the first African American superhero. Prior to Falcon were Black Panther (1966) and Lion Man (1947, who only ever appeared in one small press issue) but neither of those are American citizens.
10 years later and this is still one of Marvel’s best. And if you were an Agents of SHIELD TV series fan, it hit harder than for anyone else when we found out HYDRA was hidden in SHIELD. If you love Sam, you’re gonna be happy with what the future holds for him. All the girlies have a soft spot for James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes. And Black Widow? My girl. One of the best movies for her.
Amber, so glad you like Captain America. I went in the same direction from Tony to Steve. Especially because of this movie. Such a perfect analogy to where America has been until recently. Hydra’s back seems to be broken now. Enough said about that. Definitely love Cap’s fight scenes in this, plus that opening running scene, makes me want to train harder.

1:21 now that you mention it, his impeccable running form & stuntwork is due to several things, including Evans having dance training in tap (perfecting simultaneous sound, musicality & pinpoint exacting technique) & ballet (which has a fluidity of movement similar to martial arts) encouraged by his mother, a former dancer herself. Being aware of this ,the film's lead stunt coordinators had him remedial train in ballet, since it transposed well in his stunt work, (choreography is choreography, beat for beat, movement, skill, and teamwork, regardless of practice). When you track Evan'ss head movement there is hardly any up and down motion, so his energy is going to forward momentum, making it exceptionally efficient. This kind of put a kink in the works, as his running form was so hard to replicate, that according to Sam Hargreaves, a stuntman who has consistently worked with Evans on the Marvel films, they had a difficult time finding stuntmen who could match his running speed & form. Not to mention the camera work, as in behind the scenes footage shows him running next to a motorized steady camera that barely was able to keep up because of his focused speed.
Another movie down the line shows him running side by side with a hero in combat, and Joe Russo mentioned, "and Evans' is like an Olympian athlete.." obviously exaggerating but showcases how athletic he really is.
I knew Chris Evans was a ‘dance kid’ when I saw him Mouseketeer side-hop into a double heel click in Not Another Teen Movie. Multi-talented entertainer, perfecting his craft. He’s gonna be the first favorite Captain America that everyone compares the next Gen to.
@@spencergrady4575There should've been three of them running, but there are people saying Bucky didn't run with them because he's a sniper and shooting with a gun, so he didn't need to be in the front... It's very hard to choose, but I have to say, Captain America is my guy. Everyone else is a close second. It's probably partly because of my age (64) that I love him so much, but whatever. He's the absolute best!
Hydra killing Tony's parents is a big plot point. The gadget that they use to cut into the roads and escape is called a "Mouse hole" it's explained in Marvels Agents of SHIELD! Tv series! Which loosely follows the movies for the first 3 seasons
Love your reaction. Love all the marvel movies myself but to see them through your eyes is a treat. can't wait for the next one. You don't sound crazy, Hydra is based on many different spy agencies.
The guy fighting captain America on the ship is bartoc, a mutant named "the leaper" which is why he can stand upto him, french mercenary - if I recall correctly. He's usually comic relief villain in the spiderman cartoons because his mutation is silly.
I love the speed you are going the through the MCU, as well as GOT and Braking Bad. Also jealous, we had to wait what seem sometimes forever to see what happened.
One thing they changed in the cap movies from the comics is back in the 40s Bucky was a teenager who wore tights and was caps sidekick(think Robin to Batman).he even had a black mask like Robin lol
In the 70s, the last page of a marvel comic would be a splash page telling you what comic to pick up next to continue the story. The teasers at the end of each movie are practically doing the same thing. You keep missing Stan Lee’s cameos as well. Gotta start catching him in every movie.
I'm glad the twist about Bucky wasn't spoiled for you in advance. A lot of the marketing and promo material since the movie's release put an unmasked Bucky right on it.
Aw, man! I wanted to see your reaction to the elevator and helicopter scenes. I'm not a Patreon user, and will never be one, but this is the best movie in the franchise followed by Civil War and Black Panther.
Sam Wilson, the Falcon, is a long-standing hero, debuting in 1969, making him one of the first black superheroes ever published.. He's been a partner of Captain America from the beginning. Anthony Mackie didn't know how important the character was when he took the role.

Chris Evans was born and raised in Boston. Scarlett was born and raised in New York (Manhattan)
@@marioserrano6333 They started acting together when they were fairly young, basically kids. I think that's what they meant by grew up together. Definitely didn't grow up near each other lol
Amber, I am so excited you’re so excited about this franchise! This is where the whole Infinity Saga starts to get real! Winter Soldier is one of my top movies, all the MCU movies done by the Russo brothers are top tier!
“I’m more scared of the girl” keep that feeling…
Chris Evans and Scarlet Johansen have been good friends and worked together since they were teenagers! And Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie became good friends starting this movie.
I cannot wait to continue this journey with you! Guardians, Ant Man, Spider-Man, Dr Strange, more Avengers! This franchise really became its own little universe. But it is so well done!
"Something's off about him, Pierce..."
Good instincts
George St. Pierre plays Batrok (the guy that’s going toe to toe with Cap on the deck of the ship) three time former welter weight champ in the UFC!
Looks like it.
"I'm for some reason more scared of the girl."
That's a brilliant piece of understated and unintentional foreshadowing.
But, that's after it got dumb after Endgame
Using missiles and artillery to take out the carrier engines would have been much simpler.
ive never clicked faster. favorite mcu film right here.
Even though Thor is my favorite comic character, winter soldier imo is the best mcu movie so far
"On your left" in this movie: 😂😂😂
"On your left" the next time you hear it in the MCU: 😭😭😭
Out of the Captain America Trilogy, Winter Soldier is my favorite
100%
YES!!!!! Amber got "BOTH" Mid AND Post Credit Scenes this time!!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You caught both post credit scenes!! I'm so proud of you!!😂😂😂
For me this is still the best movie of the franchise.
There's an interesting special feature on the DVD to this
That "missed things/events" list that Steve was keeping and updating was different in content for select countries around the world, like the UK, australia/new zealand, spain, russia, germany, brazil etc.
Really cool way to give context as to how Steve is "a man out of time"
I was about to say this as well
"Bucky?!?!?!?!?"
Perfect reaction!!!
YaYY! You caught the second credits!!! There is so much great stuff coming! Excited for you :)
3:48 @Amber The actor in this scene that IS VERY well trained is none other than an ACTUAL fighting legend and former UFC Welterweight MMA champion GSP(George Saint Pierre)
But that fight was so unrealistic. Captain America hits a mere human, he ain't getting up again, ever
His character is Batroc, The Leaper
@@MoMoMyPup10 Believe it or not hes not so much "super" human as he is "peak" human... Hes "peak" at everything athletic. But that does not mean that others cannot reach such peaks by normal means. Champions are champions for a reason. And we do have things like "strong man" competitions with those of "peak" human strength in real life.
@@Eversaut He stopped a helicopter from taking off with his bare hands, no peak human is pulling that off.
@@Eversaut he held a copter with one arm. He's superhuman.
This was my first MCU film I saw in a cinema. I was so impressed. Reminds me of 1970’s thrillers.
You will appreciate the complexity of the Marvel Universe, the intertwining of characters, events, time periods. Designing the storyboards for the Avengers series must have been awesome! Love how this evolves!
Unfortunately the kiss was cut out. When Black Widow asked if that was the first kiss Cap has had since coming out of the ice was great.
Wish you A Great Year, I got something special for you Above 🎉
Amber every time I click on here I can’t wait to see your reaction to the Marvel movie of the day, knowing you’re going to love it .Then at the end all I can think of is “I just can’t wait to see you watch the next one, it’s going to blow your mind even more!” It’s been so much fun watching you binge these, and knowing you love sci-fi I am so pumped for you to watch the next one. Spaceships, incredibly fun and complex characters and a killer soundtrack. From all of us diehard fans, thank you for taking us back through this amazing journey with you! 😁🍿❤️
I know getting these films past the copyright checks is a huge pain but lots of great scenes have been cut out that other reactors have no problem leaving in... we want to see your reaction to those scenes!
The fact the whole elevator fight scene was cut out is crazy.
@@darekotto3317Was it? Noooooo! Haven't gotten that far into the reaction yet but that's so disappointing. That's one of the quintessential Cap fight scenes.
Patreon. It’s like $5 a month and you see the WHOLE video.
But the somewhat smaller channels sometimes resort to holding back fan fave scenes in order to entice patreon subscriptions.
the fight choreography really hit new heights this go around and they'll get better as you continue to move up the number of movies you see
it's one of the reasons why this movie and solo series is one of the best
Fast-paced heart-pounding action keeps us all engaged
This film is PEAK MCU!! It’s right up there with all the team films. Just great writing, performances and story!
This is one of the best superhero movies, and honestly in my top 50 favorite movies overall. Great reaction!
The fact you have a top 50 tells me you're very, very sad.
Fun Falcon fact: created in 1968, he was the first African American superhero. Prior to Falcon were Black Panther (1966) and Lion Man (1947, who only ever appeared in one small press issue) but neither of those are American citizens.
We're ALL glad YOU'RE a part of this world (MCU) too! Keep up the good work, it's been GREAT fun! 🖒🖒
man i love this movie
steve, bucky, sam, nat, maria, sharon, peggy, fury, even the twins in the end credits, i love all of them so much
10 years later and this is still one of Marvel’s best.
So glad you are enjoying the MCU!
The way all the movies connect all the characters is like a giant puzzle
Amber, so glad you like Captain America. I went in the same direction from Tony to Steve. Especially because of this movie. Such a perfect analogy to where America has been until recently. Hydra’s back seems to be broken now. Enough said about that. Definitely love Cap’s fight scenes in this, plus that opening running scene, makes me want to train harder.
Amber, lol. That bomb that knew what to attach itself to, was your basic magnet 🧲! It knew that it was supposed to attach itself to the steel car he tossed/bounced it under! 😮😉
Love ya!
Cap's gray and white suit in this film is the best in the series. Scientifically proven based on a study that I just made up ❤😂
Imagine her saying Cap is her FAVORITE - BEFORE Winter Soldier 😜 She is about to ENJOY herself! :D
the girl that was assigned to protect Cap is Agent 13. Her name is Sharon, Sharon Carter. She is Peggy Carter's niece.
This is still the best MCU film. There are a lot of great movies in the MCU... but this one is just special.
The MCU movies are like a brilliant puzzle of fine art. Each piece fits together perfectly and you may not even know that you’re missing a piece till the next movie comes out. Enjoy Amber, it’s a wonderful journey. Every day I check your channel to see if you’ve posted the next movie. ❤😊
Her passion man 😂🤍
Thank you for your Marvel Universe reactions - I truly love them (the movies AND your reactions)
Captain America is absolutely my favorite too!!🥰👍
This is a great one. Loved your reaction. Thanks again, Amber!!!
He's Georges Batroc a.k.a. Batroc The Leaper a Captain America villain. First appearance Tales of Suspense vol. 1 #75 1966. Created by writer: Stan Lee, artist: Jack Kirby.
The "Neighbor" is Agent 13 a.k.a. Sharon Carter. Margaret "Peggy" Carter's niece. 😂
Sam Wilson a.k.a. The Falcon. 😅
Kinda spoilery on Sharon there....
This is one of my absolute favs in the MC universe ! I love Bucky ! ❤❤❤ Steve and his relationship as BFFs since childhood is touching ! Thank you Amber ! You Rock ❤❤❤

For me this is the best movie of the whole MCU.
one of the BEST MCU films.
every movie she gets through... "its my favorite, its the best" thats how you know when the MCU was in its prime it was untouchable
Wow Amber, you are approaching The Magnum Opus of The MCU,Those of us who know what I mean, are so Happy to see you come along, And remember small things you see ,some are definitely going to come back up again,

So glad you're keeping pace here!😄👍
Guardians of the Galaxy up next. Then the second avengers movie, age of Ultron.
If the release rate keeps up, this is gonna be a good week. Followed by many more good weeks.
I am EXCITED for Guardians...
Yes. I love that you are bingeing the MCU. I can’t wait for the next one. You are going to love “The Guardians of the Galaxy”!!
Yay! This was so fun in the theaters. When Cap just took out that jet I was saying "That's so awesome!" And my friends were all cheering as well. And now you get to see The Gaurdians of the Galaxy. It wasn't a comic I collected and none of my friends were into it so I thought it was a strange pick to make a film of to add to this universe but man was I wrong and you're gonna love it!
Definitely love Guardians
So Tony Stark was ur man...then Steve jumped into the frame...but with a flash of lightening Thor flew onto the scene and the whole Norse god theology..then Tony with back 2 back movies was number 1 again.. somewhere in there Hawkeye,Hulk and widow all hit the spot for favourite...now its back to Steve...Amber...i love ur commentary and 1 each day so i watch them religiously in the evening...just wait until black widow movie...civil war...Ragnarok...still so many.😂😂❤🌹❤️🌹
That’s what I love about the MCU, so many trilogies and sequels that extend our favorites. Captain America and the Guardians movies (you will meet down the road) always amp me up before watching ❤
It still sucks because the three of them should've been running together, it would've been epic 🔥 But Marvel always does Bucky dirty, so I wasn't really surprised 😒
I am loving your Marvel journey. There is so much good Marvel content. Even the shows are good. I LOVE WandaVision and it's sequel. Keep going. Can't wait for the Avenger movies!!!
I feel like I should join her patreon just because she could easily slowly milk these movies out but she just keeps going.😊
It's okay to have different favorite heroes for different reasons. And for the top spots to change as we add more, and see characters change.
Wish you A Great Year, I got something special for you Above! 🎉
Wish you A Great Year, I got something special for you Above!!! 🎉
"The last one is always the hardest one, though." That's what she said.
SAM WILSOM WELCOME BABYYYY. so glad you love him
Cap the Winter Soldier is not one of my favorite superhero movies
It is one of my favorite movies period of all times
Love your reaction. Love all the marvel movies myself but to see them through your eyes is a treat. can't wait for the next one. You don't sound crazy, Hydra is based on many different spy agencies.
CA: Winter Soldier through Infinity War/Endgame is just amazing storytelling and cinematic greatness.
One of the best sequels ever made. Up there with Aliens and the dark knight
The device used by Fury and the others used to burn holes in things was invented by Leopold Fitz, from Agents of SHIELD.
5:15 "Last time I trusted someone I lost an eye." - Nick Fury.
Remember that when you watch Captain Marvel.
You’ve got me hooked!!!! At the edge of my seat every time you post!
Yay Amber is on board with TEAM CAP!!!!! Awesome reaction Amber!
Aw, man! I wanted to see your reaction to the elevator and helicopter scenes. I'm not a Patreon user, and will never be one, but this is the best movie in the franchise followed by Civil War and Black Panther.
You forgot the greatest Marvel movies. Avengers infinity war
Story wise, this one is my favorite Captain America movie. And it's one of the best of the MCU imho.
Sam Wilson, the Falcon, is a long-standing hero, debuting in 1969, making him one of the first black superheroes ever published.. He's been a partner of Captain America from the beginning. Anthony Mackie didn't know how important the character was when he took the role.
