- Опубликовано: 29 окт 2024
- In this episode of the How To Carnivore series Dr. Chaffee and Simon chat with the “Godfather of Australian regenerative agriculture”, Charlie Arnott of the Arnott biscuit family. Charlie is an 8th generation farmer and advocate for regenerative farming and wellness practices. His family farming business, under Charlie’s guidance, developed from a ‘conventional’, industrial high input mixed enterprise farm working against nature to a biodynamically principled holistically managed farm partnering with nature. This is a very entertaining chat about sovereignty, food security, teaching kids to become strong, animal welfare, how to forge a strong community, and the importance of wolves. You’re going to enjoy this one!
*Dr. Chaffee joins the conversation around the 17 minute mark.

I love hearing Dr Chaffee speak about freedom and individualism.
Im glad Australians are thinking the same way.
I was fortunate to have more freedom in my childhood. I was free to wander off to the river and catch snakes and toads and turtles. Anywhere I could get on foot or bike was ok. I came home with mud and grass stains on my clothes all the time. I could bike out to the edge of town and pick up ore spilled from trains by the railroad tracks. I travelled on an airplane alone at age 14. I think I may be in the last generation to experience that in my area.
Turtles don't do creeks😅
If we all went carnivore then what happens to big pharma, the medical industry and agriculture? They will fight tooth and nail to keep the current food pyramid.
And that's exactly what they're doing right now
We can’t have that - poor things
The world would get healthy and farmers will rightfully be the most important workers in the world
As a proponent of carnivore, i have to lament that my observation is the global plant based agenda is currently winning the mass information war, albeit misinformation and disinformation.😢
SO POWERFUL! I loved this show. And when you said Nuremburg Trials......you took yourself to a whole new level for me. And talking about that magician! I remember seeing those ads for vaccines and I was like wow! Since when does Hollywood get involved with this. Little did I understand at the time hahaha...but I raised 3 extremely healthy children who did not do the Vax program. Very tough decision to make but I'm so glad I didn't allow the bullying to change my mind. Now more than ever. I'm so glad I decided to watch this interview! It was awesome thank you❤
Looking forward to this. My two passions aligning… regenerative agriculture and carnivore diet! 😍
Glad to hear it!
Mine also ❤
Regenerative farming/ranching is such a vital issue to promote. Thanks all.
One-third of the Earth's surface is grasslands, which are vast landscapes that have the capacity, if properly managed, to address some of humanity’s most urgent challenges such as water and food insecurity, poverty, and climate change. Currently, grasslands are desertifying at alarming rates. Holistic Management of grasslands can result in the regeneration of soils, increased productivity and biological diversity, as well as economic and social well-being. Research the Savory Institute, where the mission is to regenerate these critically important and fragile grasslands. Healthy grasslands support a healthy Carnivore lifestyle. It is estimated that as many as 60 million American bison, weighing up to 2000 pounds, roamed the grasslands and plains of North America during the 19th century.
we need more people like this gentleman to take the horns and spread the message!
Great interview. Such an old time Aussie.
What an enjoyable interview! Thank you all! I know in some areas vets donate their time to help with the cat issues by trapping them to spay or neuter them. It has helped.
Growing our own food, making our own clothes and free range animals WERE sustainable...until we became consumers of convenience!
Loved it guys it went everywhere
Love it again! “One moment it’s eating grass, and next day it’s not.
12 hour time difference between Perth and Tonawanda NY. Glad I caught this!!!
As per Anthony talking about 10 year old beef. A must see documentary is Steak Revolution. The author traveled the world seeking the best steak. It turned out the best steak he ate was from a mammoth 15 year old! A must watch!
Chaffee for president!
“That thing over is alive, fluffy, and cute is going to end up on your plate.” Hahaha! Love it!
I follow the Hollar Homstead. He is feeding his family of 4 boys and a daughter off his land. Has pigs, a cow a vege garden and a food forest in the making
We have fixed feral adoptable barn cats in America. Mammoth are tropical animals with hollow hair, they were flash frozen when the oceans shifted. The old maps show them in tropical environments, imagine the amount of food they consumed. I have a great love for real documented history found in old books.
🤨
Sounds legit
What have you been taking 😅 this is total nonsense
I do like your political views , doc. We should build it and people will come . “They” know that .
The kid who rode to Sydney was Lenny Gwyther from Leongatha
He turned 9 just after his return home 😮
Thank you Ernie, I'll look him up.
I’m thinking of riding from Victoria to cook town on my horse ! Though I’m 50 not 13 😂
Do it!
Eighth generation? Either Eighteenth century or short generations. I'm fifth generation and that's since 1839.😮 Boorowa! I used to live in Young. ❤
Have tried ordering Carnivore Bar using your link, but they don't deliver to Australia, any suggestions?
Have a look at centralised GREED. There lies the reason . Decentralise - also in farming .
I’ve used a stock whip to scare off wild dogs !
Hi Dr. Anthony Chaffee
Do you know about Pernicious Anaemia and Carnivore diet - would it be possible to reverse PA ?
Have you heard about one ?
In the "good old days" - early 1920s the patients had to eat a half-pound of raw liver daily.
Just some background story to why I'm looking into Carnivore diet (only meat).
I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Pernicious Anaemia (without anemia), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and lots of deficiencies : Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium, Iron (treated) Vitamin B12 (even though I get daily 10mg inj. for 2,5 years it doesn't work), Vitamin B9 (just started inj. 2 weeks ago 15mg), Vitamin B1, Vitamin B6 , Vitamin A, Vitamin D (treated with Sperti Vitamin D Sunlamp).
No tabl., pearls or spray gives effect.
GP think it's because of malabsorptions.
I had 3 x HPV V's in 2012/13 and haven't worked since as a mechanic and early retirement since Jan. 2020.
Thanks for sharing so much of your experience, it makes it easi.
You are a fantastic conveys/communicator.
It depends on how much damage has been done already, but what can heal will heal, and it can stop the antibodies from making things worse. But, only time will tell how much cash come back
My body is very destroyed, I have a lot of neurological symptoms, my fingertips and fingersides are hurting so much and have since after I started Vitamin B12 inj. dec. 2019.
I haven't had relief in any of my many symptoms.
Even though I get natural thyroid replacement medicin (pig) I don't feel it working but the labs are fine (been on it for many years and it's the best of all the thyroid medication I have tried. Synthetic medicine don't work the labs shows no thyroid function even on 45mcg T3 only.
After mold toxins in 2019 I got even more sick and lots the rest of my energy (I could swim 2-3 timers a week as the only thing I did and get some food in the supermarket)
My doctor said the mold reactived Mononucleosis.
For 3 years I have only came out my home (moved last year to a ground floor apartment) one - two times pr. month on a electric scooter.
I can go to the toilet and the kitchen and sleeping room.
I have been magnesium deficient since 2012 as the rest of the deficiencies.
I used the last 3 year to find out about all this.
For 7-8 years my diet has been :
100 % natural glutenfree, dairyfree (only ghee, some goat cheese) Low Fodmap, meat, greens, fruit, nuts, seeds and so on... )
I can have 1/4 of and apple, very little onion of the high Fodmap.
Even though I got 6 x 360mg magnesium, 16 x 750mg potassium, 40 g' sodium supplement by prescription it didn't make a different at all, I was still deficient.
Doctors didn't do much and they still don't.
For 4 months I tried magnesium sulphate inj. - I could hold it up,] the pain was enormous and I had to stop.
I don't regret doing it - My massive constipation I have had for 11 years are gone (2 months after stopping Mg), I could hold my potassium in again.
I haven't had minerals since new year because doctor would investigate without minerals.
I know that magnesium is the ground player for activation/function all other vitamins and minerals - without magnesium they wouldn't function.
I pee every hour again (my kidneys are all fine) - just waiting to start Mg again if doctors still wouldn't help me.
I'm now 37 years old and it should never have gone this far with my health.
My cognitive function and memory is not great so I sorry for the writing not being arranged chronologically, I just write as it pops up.
Any stressed animal changes the taste. I know it makes a big difference with deer hunting. You really should become a great shot before going hunting. It’s also kinder to any animal.
Every individual needs to wake up and re learn and not just follow the mainstream…
Does one of your videos address the MASSIVE problem with visceral fat- in depth ( pun warning) ?
Hi Dr Anthony Chaffee. I started Carnivore 9 days ago. I hate the man boobs i have, will these man boobs reduce by just eating carnivore and very little exercise?? Thank you
Arnott's? They have soy in every item they sell, and skimp on our great quality biscuits and Americanised them. We don't do "cookies" here. Good he grew up a bit.
Let’s get wolves 😂😂😂
Just saying, the entire country of Sri Lanka tried doing what this guy says - and they went into utter chaos. He can sit there telling us we have to do it his way and of course it will work. Thank God he's not responsible for feeding the planet.
I realize most stuff farmers produce is crap. And all those chemicals - I don't want them. But as Dr. Berry said, bad food is better than no food. I don't think this guy sees the bigger picture.
I've driven a tractor. I've worked in agriculture. I've spoken to farmers and ranchers about this topic. They're not going to change to - I don't even know what it is this guy is saying we should do, or what he's doing now. Is it no-till? Or is it just lighter plowing/discing? I don't even know. It was maddening for me to listen to him because he's going on and on with the enthusiasm and zeal of a newly converted cultist - but isn't even saying what it is his cult does, except in the most general of terms. Madness.
Most farmers I know have a day job of some sort in town to help pay for their family's needs, because the farming - on the small farm they typically inherited from a parent or grandparent - that alone won't pay the bills. So they're a welder, a mechanic, a Wallmart worker, mail carrier, whatever. They farm when they get home, on their days off, and the weekends. A lot of them just do cattle now and no more plowing, cuz cattle kind of take care of themselves most days. You need quite a large farm or ranch to live well off just that. The guys I know who still actually grow crops, they have to make arrangements with landowners who don't know how to farm. Their own place, typically is too small. So they farm a retired couples 275 acres, too - and make some deal with them. And eight miles over there, they farm 420 acres. And so on.
Trying to get people like this, many of whom are working very hard, have little free time - and can't afford a disaster year at all --- trying to get them to change without a concrete path - this sounds like far more work and a lot less money for them. And if that's wrong, well then spell it out, so we can mull it over. Stop with the pie in the sky dreamy talk and say what it is. I found this talk extremely irritating for this reason. Generalized blather. Sri Lanka can happen - just cuz we want some new system to work and be all better doesn't make it happen, like with fairy magic. Work in agriculture is unbelievably stressful and hard.
Sri Lanka went cold turkey on the chemicals. It has to be done slowly and purposefully.
Sir Lanka never implemented a national organic transition program, so the campaign to blame the collapse of its economy on organic agriculture is pure misinformation based on a series of lies fed by a PR company to poor-quality journalists who did not fact-check. The ban on chemical fertilizers and agrochemicals was not to turn Sri Lanka into an organic country; it was to reduce Sri Lanka’s crippling national debt. The economic chaos, not the decline in rice yields, was the cause of the riots. The traditional withholding of rice stocks and the artificial increases of prices that the rice miller oligarchies do every year after the primary harvest season created artificial shortages that contributed to the riots. Other contributing factors were the result of fuel and essential items shortages and excessive inflation, making everything more expensive and unaffordable.
Sri Lanka followed top-down restrictions on chemicals...with no effort to switch to Joel Salatin-style regenerative farming. This isn't an instant fix nor something that can be pushed in a binary way by the government.
Would be better if he was in control.
Since he clearly states that you have to go slowly.
And most importantly, he seems to favor libertarianism, so he wouldn't force anyone to do it a certain way.
If you want to hear examples of how to do it... Look into Joel Saladin, Greg Judy Regenerative farmer, Geoff Lawton - greening the desert, Allan Savory TED talk and permaculture in general.
