Extreme heat isn’t good for them either so I’m sure their techs have to do truss rod adjustments to fix warped necks after every hot summer performance.

Oh, for me it's the first thing I remember from both the montreal gigs. I went out looking for the merch store, took me a good 15 mins to find it. They're packing the stuff back in, can't buy shit- then I hear it. That acdc riff reverberating trough the stadium. A light went out in my head like "FUCKEN. GO NOW BABY!!" And i just started running back trying to find my seat, along with the rest of the people in the stadium who weren't seated. The last call was upon us. I'll never forget running like crazy as that acdc song starts to pick up the rythm, MAN. Can't transcribe the feeling or story well enough with words. You just have to live a moment like that😂 the song is just so fucking perfect for a last call, especially when it invites you to run back to your seat along the beat. MAN. What a perfect song for that.
I was there, standing some 30 meters to the left. What a great show it was! ❤ First rain in several weeks was refreshing. Love that stage setup too, easy to get close and personal :)
That’s so cool! I saw them talking in I think the masterclass about how they have fans they see in so many shows and follow them or something like that and that they basically know them so this is def one of them! So awesome!

looking at the crowd it looks like they are facing the opposite direction of the band. you can see all 4 members behind them and for some reason they are facing the other way.
it seems that with this kind of stage, metallica doesnt look closer with the audience, they look cold at the distence... like they are desconnecting with the energy of a tradicional concert. Just look to the people... even they look very distance with each other...

You're completely right, but with this kind of stage they make more money: 1. the snake pit is bigger (tickets there are more expensive) 2. All the seats in the stadium can be sold. With a traditional stage approx 1/4 of the seats are useless.
