Crossing my fingers for your sewing machine. But on the plus side, think of how many sewing machines you saved by damaging yours. Now I know I’ll be more careful and I’m sure I’m not alone. Thank you for taking this one for the team. It’s a teaching moment!!!
You are such a bright spot in my day! Your giggle is infectious and I just love logging on and seeing your latest video. I can't wait to see the completed journal!
Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard at that alphabet card. That was too funny...I wouldn’t want that in my journal either! It’s so fun watching you create with such beautiful fabrics and trims...waiting for the next segment!
Sooo pretty! I can’t wait till this journal is done! Not sure I like the bohemian style yet, but I think it is growing on me! I always love gems , glitter & sparkles! As always your videos are fabulous! Thanks!
That alphabet card was a laugh. We used to slather ourselves with baby oil or coconut oil and lie in the sun - madness. I have my sewing machine that I bought in 1974 and it's still going well, very heavy though. Love the snippet, the belly band and the pockets. Boho fabrics are far and few in New Zealand, not very sparkly so I'll watch and drool over yours
I love the vibrant colors of the Boho journal. I got a chuckle out of your sewing machine having a mind of its own apparently. Your so funny! You could have fun decorating a rock! 😂
I keep hoping for a peek of your '75 sewing machine....I have one too!!!😆 She just keeping chugging along for me, only does straight ans zigzag stitch. Whenever I see you lift your newer machine into the camera shot to see you sew, I think how HEAVY my old 75 is....no way can you lift it back and forth. "They don't make 'em like they used to" 😁 Thanks for the giggles and grins !! Lol at the stitches and the M card. You are so fun to watch and visit with.💕
Hi Gayle, I know you are happy that you are having your sewing machine fixed - The 1975 was able to pull you through during the pinch though, right? These blingy embellishments are just FABULOUS! The first snippet with the royal blue lace was actually show-stopping. I had to "step out in the isle" on that one! I really appreciated the close up of this one - just rendered me speechless~ They all touched my soul as each was beautiful in its own right. I SALUTE you for making the tough decisions! (BTW, I agree with you about the color black - It tends to "ground" a piece.) The turquoise material at 41:55 was also magnificent. I felt as if I were in a jewelry store! Just unreal.... TYFS - Betty :)
I had a sister whom did that with the Crisco at the beach, and came home with giant blisters she was hospitalized for a week with 3 degree burns.. I’m glad I never laid in the sun! I learned from her!
Loving the beautiful colors and bling of the boho style!!! Never have done one but since watching you and what fun it seems, I want to do one to!!! You have so many lovely fabrics and trims to work with, I guess I need to start a little supply!!!!! Enjoyed this so much pretty girl!!! Have a happy forth, since you posted it earlier!!!! Hugs and stay safe!!!
😂👍💕 oh gayle, that "m" posture card..... yikes! glad it got covered 😆 i was right there with ya and the baby oil sun bathing (sun-frying days) eek-we didn't know any better.... (never tried crisco!) remember the commercials-the flaky pie crusts and actual fried chicken they showed? thanks for the giggles and sharing the boho snippets process, using the card for gluing is great, i use them all the time even when gluing papers. 😊💗 hugs
Oh the sewing machine 😂😂😂. My mom just gave me hers and it's a bit vintage too and I remember alot of tension issues as a kid. Bless you for all the laughs.
I'm enjoying your boho snippet adventures...and it's the right thing from me right now, not able to fiddle with anything that creates "dust/clouds" - so I got out one of my little information books and am cutting up/out the parts I think I could use...
Loving this series, Ms. Gayle! Your journal is going to be a Beauty! Thanks for sharing the progress! As for that posture card, tho'...well there are some things you just can't unsee!!! LMAO!
Oh go on do it, I was saying to you!!!!! Less is more, not with this journal.....…!!!!! Wonderful choice of sparkly bits, might need my sunglasses to watch part 3! TFS 😻xx
Really lovin' BoHo....didn't know I would like it that much....this journal is going to be very pretty! And, also, we laid out in the sun for hours with a mixture of baby oil and iodine. So, we got that stained brown look. It was a pretty tan. But I think WOW, the things we did! I've had some tiny skin issues over the years, too. I'm sure it's because of too much sun as a teenager! Should have listened to my mom...Lol...Looking forward to part 3!! Hugs ❤ Suzy xx
Fried chicken! Lol! I grew up on the beach in SoCal and as teenagers we would mix baby oil and iodine and slather that all over. And because we thought it smelled so good, we smeared cocoa butter all over us as well. Boy am I paying the price now. Hope all went well at the doctor’s office. Cheers!
Just out of this world fabrics Gayle!! What a collection of all of these Boho snippets and fabrics you have!! Love them all. And you putting them all together is even better...Linda
Fun fun colors. You’re going to have a beautiful boho journal. Love the blue trim along the bottom of the bully band. 😀 You are always so enjoyable to watch. Hugs
Hi Gayle, I'm also working on a boho journal with the same wonderful Artymaze kit and I'm really struggling with it. I had been looking forward to working on this journal for months and now I'm really having a hard time. I don't have all the bling you're fortunate enough to have, but I do have enough sari silk ribbon and other things to really make a beautiful journal. I have no idea what this block is about, so I'm working on a commissioned baby journal to give myself some space from it and maybe my mojo will kick in. I'm so glad that you're doing this journal as it really helps to see someone else problem solving and working through the process. Thank you. xx
I love BoHo Journals...and especially their colors. I have all type of BoHo fabrics I purchased from Salena! You have gotten me motivated to begin my journal. Thank you for sharing and giving me such wonderful ideas! 💖🌸💖
Since being introduced to snippet rolls earlier this year on another channel, I've never been that keen on making one. Leave it to Gayle to inspire me to try it. I'm just itching to make one now. You just make everything seem way much more fun. :) (PS. you've also inspired me to try an etsy shop and am in the process of setting it up).
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Awww, thank you so much for asking. I only have 3 listings so far. You are sooo right about it being time consuming. My shop name is Visualised.
Like you I think this would be out of my comfort zone :-D but it sure is pretty! My partner actually enjoys listening to your videos as well now. They don’t watch them but they do chuckle away.
Snip those snippets so we’ll have more for snippets! LOL! Loving the boho stuff and am just over the moon about it already! Hope your vacation is going great.
Hi Gayle, you really crack me up! when you pulled out the alphabet letter M! blah,blah,blah,..and when you said you don't want to be seeing that picture in your journal, lol you just had me rolling! I would of covered it up myself too. I enjoy your videos and this makes me want to play too! God bless you.
It’s so fun to see what pieces and colors you choose, you tend to gravitate towards more primary colors where I tend to gravitate towards the teals, pinks and purples. I love how your pieces are coming together! This journal is going to be stunning Gayle!
Loving how everything is coming together Gayle!!! So sorry about your sewing machine. Poor thing!!! You always make everything look beautiful!!! Hugs my friend!!!
I love all these colors! They are so pretty. Love the items you created! This makes me want to do a boho journal too. I have never done one. Hope you had a great 4th with your family. Xx💞😍
I have been thinking about getting a Scan & Cut but don't know much about it and I really don't want technical problems I hate sitting at the computer I just love my Sizzix machine. Love the Snippets very colorful, Tyfs
I wouldn’t have thought I’ld like these fabrics before ... surprise, surprise , to me ! I love them now ... 😀 thanks Gail thrift shops here I come. Hehehe
Note to self: don’t drink Diet Coke while watching Gayle. When you said you were laying in the sun smelling like fried chicken, I accidentally snorted some and I was still sputtering and coughing when you pulled out the “M” card, and it started all over again. 😂 I love everything boho, and I needed a good laugh, so thanks! (Even if my nose is still burning! LOL!!!)
This is such a fun project. I was so engaged it took me much longer to get my project started. I’m finishing a small kid’s wallet. But I am soooooo interested in making snippets and clusters. TFS
Gayle, I googled scan and cut and they were all in the $200-300 range. ALTHOUGH, the way you go through machinery, you may want to start investing in more industrial models!!! Lol
You are such an inspiration I’m definitely going to do a boho journal.Oh and I’m so going to be a copy cat.I’m using all my snippets on snippet rolls I’ve actually never made a snippet roll . So about to craft along. May have to pause you once in awhile . So I can work and watch and fine Stuff .you know what I mean .stuff yah 😱
Hi Gayle... so I’m not sure what snippets are and how they’re used? Guess I’m still such a “newbie” and I don’t have fabric scraps? But they are beautiful, love all the bright colors!
Was just going to ask where you get all the luscious fabric and then you said you couldn't remember where the bag and some others came from. I will have to check back to see if someone says where to get some. Also meant to say what you have made is quite lovely.
Gail do you know of any Etsy shops were the shipping to Canada isn’t so high ? , I love some of the shops very much, however when it shows the shipping costs ouch !!
For the scan n cut check out Maymaymadeit on you tube. She does a demonstration of the new one that came out and shows you what it will and won't do as far as cutting. I did find with mine that it does not always read the scan material very well and therefore does not cut it. And yes 500 seems very high. I got mine for much less from HSN and. Who knows- they may still have them available.
Ok so I love these but the OCD portion of my brain is telling me to go lie down in a darkened room and listen to soothing whale song because #allthewonkypieces 😳😬😂

Looking good, Gayle. I'm drooling over your snippets. Love Boho! 😍👍😉
Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard at that alphabet card. That was too funny...I wouldn’t want that in my journal either! It’s so fun watching you create with such beautiful fabrics and trims...waiting for the next segment!
Boho isn’t something that grabs me but..... you make it look so much fun 🥰
Lovely yummy snippets. I watched the last 2 out of order!!😅😂🤣 It's still a blast when we craft together ❣️💜💙💚🎨🖌️
Sooo pretty! I can’t wait till this journal is done! Not sure I like the bohemian style yet, but I think it is growing on me! I always love gems , glitter & sparkles! As always your videos are fabulous! Thanks!
How fun to learn about Snippets and posture cards! Lol. Beautiful fabrics, trims.

Hi Gayle... so I’m not sure what snippets are and how they’re used? Guess I’m still such a “newbie” and I don’t have fabric scraps? But they are beautiful, love all the bright colors!
So pretty I got to try this thanks!
The snippets are coming together beautifully Gayle. Do you have any tiny bells to add here and there?
That green bling fabric; those circles in the center would be good little embellishments without all the fabric. Hope that makes sense.
I laughed until I cried you showing that card.
This is awesome!!’
I have a hard time finding enough materials to use to make a boho anything!
and we put lemon juice in our hair!
Was just going to ask where you get all the luscious fabric and then you said you couldn't remember where the bag and some others came from. I will have to check back to see if someone says where to get some. Also meant to say what you have made is quite lovely.
AmourFabriques on Etsy is where I got some of it. And the bling trims came from Sheila at Bohodaydreams on Facebook. ❤️
TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
OMG, that 'M' just gave me an idea for a jornal theme: Humor!
I use Fabri-tac when I make Snippet Roll too. The glue holds so well that I never have to sew. Do you do it just for decoration ?
Decoration and it holds the sides down nicely. ❤️
I WAS THINKING WHAT ARE SNIPPETS FOR NOW I KNOW!
when you snip a piece off the roll - how do you keep the rest of the roll intact??
Glue or sewing depending on what the fabric is like by the cut. 😁❤️
Gail do you know of any Etsy shops were the shipping to Canada isn’t so high ? , I love some of the shops very much, however when it shows the shipping costs ouch !!
I know...international shipping is so expensive. Truly All Supplies is the only Canadian Etsy supplies shop I can think of just now.
The Old Design Shop, Edmonton, Canada

Isn’t it funny when we use fabri tac we have to squeeze and squeeze and get air then we leave it sit a second it wants to escape and volcano !!
Yes, crazy stuff! 🥴❤️
Ok so I love these but the OCD portion of my brain is telling me to go lie down in a darkened room and listen to soothing whale song because #allthewonkypieces 😳😬😂
Yep, gotta check OCD at the door for Making snippet trims! Haha!! ❤️

I like to glue to paper for my belly bands for stiffness... just sayin'.
