It’s literally almost The same thing. Hip movements, rhythm, head movements and footwork. Especially break dancing, striking without striking.

Im not a expert or anything but i recommend to unsheathe with ur feet being under your shoulders, grab the blade and whip the sheathe with ur hip into a very wide stance. your torso and legs should be doing all the work and not the hands as they are supposed to be ready for the cutting technique. A trained fencer will hit you square in the face if you grab ur blade and pull it in static postion, this kendo methods sole reason is to engage in a surprise attacks.
tldr: pull the sheathe with ur hip and attack/defend with ur hand when ready.

It's hard getting into the movie industry, I know that. But I would love to see something with you in it. Don't know how good of an actor you are, but a straight action movie would be more than epic. Maybe start with an independent short film on RUclips like Kung Fury. The camera movements in your shorts are more than professional, too. Good luck, keep on fighting.

Hey FIKSHUN why not do 2 collaboration with Shaina West one as Asian Martial artist since you both do Japanese Sword play and another for Black History month next year of her as a Dahomey Amazon warrior, maybe even get some ideas and weapons from Da'Mon Stith. Second collaboration suggestion is to hook up with Adorea Olmouc. They are doing great fight scenes and some unique with shields. Third suggestion Ray Dionaldo from FCS kali he is the flashiest for Great choreography, lastly Pantherboy does great capoeira and also dont sleep on Black Ninja!!!!
