You don’t turn a program around by being quiet and complacent. You do it by changing the mindset and the culture and being confident in what you do. Thats why Coach Cig is who we need!

He so reminds me of my impression of the new IUBB coach, Bob Knight, 1971, my sr year, when he arrived w/ a clear plan and process - it's all about the preparation, practices are always as tough as any game situation, playing, thinking and anticipating. Add a little touch of Lee Corso personality and we IUFB fans are very happy and interested. Since we all are now not "true fans" of the underperforming IUBB team, we are all in and tuned in to this guy and his merit based efficient work ethic approach to the Ws!

Yes, undefeated when they lost to Ohio State (B1G champion) by 7 in 2020

In other words, Coach opened his big mouth a bit too much. And is admitting it.

No in other words the IU fanbase is incredibly lame and needs to be amped up by being bold and brash, it is an entertainment business

@@CMcquillen96more like belongs in the trash. This guy is basically Deion Sanders lite without the talent. All talk and yet haven’t seen anything. Reminds me of Frost at Nebraska… “The B1G needs to get us while they can” same energy.

@@The_G_89 except he does have a track record and it isn’t anything like Scott frost at Nebraska.

@@CMcquillen96 congrats he did well at JMU. Frost did well at UCF. Something you don’t want to do, is come into the conference like the B1G and be that cocky thinking you’re gonna make the conference championship in your first year. Nebraska fans and the football program thought that when they first came into the conference and look how that played out for them. I think he’ll be good enough to win some games but he just set himself up with a target on his back and now every team they face wants to teach this guy a lesson.

@@The_G_89 oh no IU might lose games, that never happened before.
The point is this is a completely different scenario than a Nebraska old blood program. Should he come in all meek and be like “oh gee I really hope they let me win 3 games in the big ten, that would be just swell!” No of course not. I love this as an Indiana fan and if loses some games to Ohio state, Michigan and the like great we are hopefully still improving and winning other conference games. Losing those games to the biggest programs would not be a let down or anything even news worthy.
