Honestly, I don't know why nobody considered this for the ship opening at the top: Even in Prime 3, we do see what looked like a hatch at the top of the ship. It's never used, but there's clearly something. I think the ship always had the two hatch and still does, but the bottom hatch is for also docking the ship. While the top hatch is for all purposes, so she doesn't need to dock or something.
It's worth pointing out that Metroid 1 is set in 20X5, and yet we've had statements of multiple years passing prior to Federation Force (3 years to Prime 1, and "several years" between Corruption and Federation Force), and that it's the decade that's obscured with an X, meaning these could easily be different decades without revealing so.
Im pretty sure there was a scan in Prime 3 saying that Prime 1 and 2 happened 50 years prior to prime 3 Edit: nvm Im dumb, it only said the meteors struck those Planets 50 years ago, not that they went there at that time. Also that would make samus a grandma so that doesnt make sense 😂

So it could be possible that the events of that game happen in 20X7 or maybe even later. Some people speculate wormholes can use for teleportation or time traver For all we know the device that the space pirats are after could be Wormhole projector.

An interesting fact about Samus' new redesigned armor is that it retains some design elements from prime 3's P.E.D suit such as the white stomach and inner thigh area, the bicep armor is also pretty similar being in 3 distinct sharp edged pieces. It helps sell the idea that this happens not necessarily right after prime 3, but perhaps after some time has passed where samus was able to use chozo tech to reconstruct her armor back to it's intended design.
I've always wanted the Metroid series to branch out but not through film, rather through pulp stories or manga. Various adventures of Samus through out her career as a bounty hunter, exploring new world and battling strange concepts would be a fun and relatively inexpensive way to grow the franchise/ satisfy the fans.
@@MrDibara agreed, the annoying bit is thinking how close the basic mechanisms are basically in SSB map makers, we just need boss mechanics and ways to block sequence breaks and we could probably craft 30 minute adventures for each other with enough permutations to keep us busy until a longer more crunchy maker could be made.
I think that for us to properly accept Sylux as a villain, they NEED to give us at least one pivotal cutscene where he reveals his identity, and he needs to have a voice actor. And Samus needs to have a voice actor for at least a few lines in response. It would be an epic introduction for a boss battle!
This would and should be the game to reveal his backstory about why he hates Federation AND Samus so much. There's theories already about his identity and I for one would like to see who he really is.
They just have to show us that he's Solomon Aran, and imply an intense jealousy or blind hatred of Samus. That way, only she would understand the connection that they have and will have the agency to actually stop and think about how to proceed. The Ravenbeak revelation was momentous, but felt secondary to her actions since it was a part of the final boss sequence. But if she finds out ahead of time and has time to deliberate/sort her feelings out, then there could be a resolution to it beyond just killing him out of circumstantial necessity

To be honest, the cosmic year calendar system has always been a continuity issue in Metroid to the point that the fanbase has simply suggested everyone just ignore it and just focus on using a simple Metroid timeline that shows where each game takes place rather than focusing on the cosmic years. Also, Prime 4 taking place 3 years after Federation Force does not make sense because if it takes place after Super Metroid, then there should be no Metroids (not even Mochtroids) alive whatsoever, the Space Pirates faction should be extremely weakened to the point of them being a no show, and why would Sylux wait 3 years to strike after he already has just been stalking Samus and just stole a Metroid egg? It does not make sense for him to wait that long. Unless time travel can somewhat address this, I say don't pay attention to the cosmic year calendar.
Amped about this game, even though it needs to offer something more than just being a rehash of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (even though its ironically my favorite of series). It just can't simply be two different worlds with traversal means as well as puzzle solving, but it also have to be traveling between at least 3 or 4 different time periods to truly see how the whole world change. Even though Phazon's story may be truly over and wouldn't come back in the game, there's a chance that it could still be coming back and would makes for a great showcase of said change in one of time period. Say the earliest period that Samus would travels to is already shown in trailer close to the end with lush beautiful world while the latest current period would be dark desolated barren world as we seen in the opening shot. But what if there another period that Samus can travels to in between, one that shows the whole world in midst of being corrupted by impacted and growing Phazon's influences. That would makes for a great twists and also provide a potential motivation for Sylux to acquire a great power that he couldn't at any time in Prime Trilogy, especially with failing to do so during the Hunter game.
I hope that, if they made a side multiplayers mode for Prime 4: Beyond if we want take a break with the main story like they did for Prime Hunters, they gonna bring back others bounty hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters such Noxus, Weavel, Kanden, Trace, Spire and Sylux but only for the multiplayers mode for Prime 4 and that they don't gonna do like Metroid Prime 2 with everyone is just Samus in different colors since others multiplayers video game let us choose another playable characters who isn't the main protagonist and they already done that for Prime Hunters so why not Prime 4?

The Switch motion controls in the joycons are purely accelerometers, which just don't have the same kind of responsiveness or precision. Do you remember how much more clunky and unwieldy the grapple beam motion mechanics were in Corruption compared to the aiming and firing controls? That's because the wii's nunchuck was just an accelerometer too. The joycons are basically the same.

Regarding the timeline, Metroid has been pretty consistent. The only thing that confuses me, is Samus's gunship. From Metroid Prime 3, Samus is seen flying the same gunship. But in Samus Returns, and onwards, it's nowhere to be seen. My guess is that Prime 4 still takes place before Samus Returns, despite the mocktroids making an appearance, and I'm hoping that it'll show why Samus never uses that particular gunship moving forward.
It's probably not canon but the mochtroids did make a 2nd which was in the Prime Hunters Demo, where they were given a 3D model for us to reference. And in the Demo they they looked longer and slimmer than the OG Metroids. Though in terms of plot, there's no real reason to bring the mochtroids back, they're bargin bin Metroids. Like the only reason Samus even got to see Mochtroids was because she was too hot on Ridley's tail in Super for the Pirates to be well past the mochtroid stage in cloning Metroids.
I still wished they remastered prime 2 and 3 I miss those games I lost my Wii and i cant play them anywhere else, I am looking forward for prime 4, on a different note I've always asked my self why have they not remade super Metroid, they could do so much with todays hardware, or even fusion but I cant see them making it any better

Galactic Federation was established in Galactic Cosmic Year 2000, Samus' Zero Mission happened in GCY 20X5, Prime 1 takes place 3 years later (so GCY 20X8) and Prime 4 has shown us GCY 20X9. That means most of the Prime games happened within the span of a year. And again, nothing past Metroid 2 has official dates other than recaps of Samus' 1st mission on Zebes in GCY 20X5. Both Metroid 2 and 3 mention this. I will leave off with this, as the X can be any number within that span of time, even the "non canon" date of Super Metroid of 20X7 might not be that wrong. All this dates could look as followed: Galactic Federation est 2000 Galactic Federation finds 1st Metroid 2005 and start research Samus' birth 20X6 (could be 2016) 20X9 Space Pirates invade K2L (2019) Samus age 14 20X0 under the Chozo (2030) Samus' Zero Mission 20X5, I believe the canon manga mentions she is 19 at the time (2035) Metroid Prime 20X8 Samus' age 22 (2038) Prime 4 20X9 Samus 23 (2039) Super Meroid 20X7 (could be 2047) Samus 31. Not saying this is correct but it all comes down to Prime 4's placement as for now the fan base seems divided on "it's after Super but before Fusion" which can be debated then as "why is there a baby metroid when the last one Samus found at the end of Metroid 2 and we know what happened to that Metroid and the batch of Metroids the Space Pirates created and what the GF did with its DNA afterwards in secret. Then there is the camp that believes we are still in before Metroid 2 territory.
I won't bet on graphics change, the engine is done, they already released a game with it and it's been a while, and it's already top notch for a 9 years old hardware. It could look different only if there is a next gen version.
If they are cloning mochtroids, that means they haven't mastered the way to clone metroids yet, that happens upon the end of super metroid. So that means this happens before super metroid
Beyond bringing Phazon back into the narrative seems unlikely as it is its own weakness and why bring back a PED suit? Metroid Prime or Dark Samus maybe, but not Phazon.
What about dread it confirms to us that the Metroid went extinct so maybe this game takes place somewhere after Metroid dread we samus has to kill the Metroids once and for all

Why would you expect a Prime game to change perspectives? No one else out there has tried to replicate the Prime formula for the last 18 years, anything that resembles the previous titles should feel fresh after an insanely long hiatus.

No one else out there has tried to replicate the Prime formula for the last 18 years, anything that resembles the previous titles should feel fresh after an insanely long hiatus.

@@TheFoodieCutie Yes, this isn't Resident Evil. There's a reason Other M isn't part of the Prime series nor called "Metroid 4" even though it takes place after Super. Another 3rd person Metroid game would need to be its own thing.

The original Prime had almost no dialogue and cutscenes. The original Metroid Prime masterfully told its story through natural ways during gameplay, exploration of landscapes and scanning.
