To be honest I didn't really know when or if I was gonna upload this one but its been a few weeks since the stream and I figured hey cant beat Easter as the day for it.
Nothing was really missing from the song this time around I just tightened up the timing and edited around some mistakes. I've always thought this was a really beautiful song and I'm glad Gura came in to do what she does best and make it even better!

She actually does the lyrical wordplay! So many covers miss that, and it SUCKS when they do. 'the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift' is such a key part of this song.
I absolutely love it when Gura uses strength in her voice. It's so impactful and beautiful.
She range is well complemented by swing and big band style music.
Is her real voice? Or autotune?

It's so beautiful I almost teared up
This is the type of song Gura excels at, acoustic and relaxing songs where her airy vocals really stand out, especially since she's good at conveying emotion through her singing. When it comes to more upbeat songs or ones with powerful vocals, she still does great but she's outclassed by many other members, Irys and Izuru for example. There's a reason she covers a lot of acoustic versions. Keep in mind this is all just her natural talent and not professional training, so to perform like this and live nonetheless is really impressive. She's definitely one of my favorite singers in Hololive/Holostars

Watch Marine too, I think Marine and Gura are tied to be the best in HoloLive. 1) Marine/Gura 2) Suisei

Srsly. So many covers ruin the song by just jumbling stuff around adding useless ornamentation while completely destroying what made the original work so well. The original has that gentle build up in both pitch and volume spread over a verse and then gently lowers things back to where they started. That's IMO a more integral part of the song than the lyrics, really.
edit: omg, just watched that Tentacrul video and he said exactly what I was trying to say, but said it WAY better.
I wouldnt always say ruin, many artists just sing differently. 🤷♂️

I went to see Leonard Cohen in Copenhagen, som 12 years ago. He himself wouldve been proud of Guras rendition.

Obviously we all think different about Gura's voice and how she measures in hololive as a singer, but some of us connect with her feelings. She's feeling the song and with her voice I can feel her as well. This is the best version I've ever heard of this song.
A blessing from the lord
Gura is capable of so much with her amazing voice. I think Reflect is a banger but this cover of Hallelujah proves she can do so much more. She could easily tackle high notes like the ones in Moona's original song. Imagine her covering(just some songs off the top of my head) Oh Holy Night, or the bridge(after 2nd chorus) in Creep(both Calli and Ame covered creep, but uh... didn't sing the bridge).
While the Reflect is good, it doesn’t bring out her unique voice and talent. I’m really frustrated sometime that Hololive doesn’t realize her real talent and let her have a original song that suits her more. People say that Gura is not on the same level as Suisei in singing is dead wrong. Because all of the songs she sang as official cover and original are idols song which Suisei absolutely excels at. Gura are more acoustic songs and lighter songs. And I can say that she is on the same level as Suisei in term of singing, which is also why she earns that 3M+ subs as well.
