I remember watching this back in 2002 or so, and it's funny how this was basically Nick's answer to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays in the general format. The main difference between the two is that Friday Night Nicktoons didn't have segments with the animated characters hosting like CCF did. While this was pretty good in of itself, i always more often watched CCF.
I feel the same way about Cartoon Network and Disney Channel as I grew up with all three channels; although I didn't start watching Disney Channel until the early 2000s because I watched Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network most of the time back then. I do, however, remember watching Disney's One Saturday Morning back in the '90s.
Nick Would Make Their Answer To Crossover Nexus By Putting In The Splat Globe 2005-2009 Moose And Zee, Making Fiends, Friday Night Nicktoons, Original Noggin Logo, etc.
Original animated nick programming in that opening credits alone: Jimmy Neutron, Spongebob, ChalkZone, Angry Beavers, Fairly Odd Parents, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Rocket Power, Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats, As Told by Ginger, Invader Zim Nickelodeon animated shows in 2011 as a whole: Spongebob, Tuff Puppy....that's about it
Anyone remember that game on Nick website, around the same time as Friday Night Nicktoons, where you collected virtual cards of Nicktoon characters by playing games, and you could trade and sell them for points? I remember I spent 2 weeks earning points to get a card of Cindy from Jimmy Neutron.
I cannot believe in this throwback I'm having right now! I used to love watching Nicktoons on Fridays back then especially SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents and My Life as a Teenage Robot.
I remember me being in the 4th grade in 2004 coming home from school, excited as hell just to watch Friday Night & Saturday Morning Nicktoons. It sucks that Nickelodeon is garbage now.
Actually,I feel that Nickelodeon didn't really die in 2004, I feel that it died around 2007 or 2008. In 2004, Nick had Danny Phantom, SpongeBob was still decent, Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron, Teenage Robot, ChalkZone, Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified, they still had U-Pick Live, All That, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Wild Thornberrys, The Amanda Show, occasionally they would air Doug, Kenan & Kel and CatDog. Plus, shows that were no longer on Nickelodeon around the time would be either on Nicktoons Network, The N, Nick GAS or TurboNick. Plus, they still acknowledged those old shows. I remember when I had a MyNick account and they had a list Nick shows to like, alot of old shows such as Clarissa and Doug were listed, plus Nick Scene It! (released in 2005) did have Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, CatDog and others. They still had variety, too. SpongeBob only aired 3 times a day. They still had good short films and the feeling was still Nickelodeon. If the only reason why Nickelodeon sucked in 2004 is because they didn't air Rocko, Ren & Stimpy or Invader Zim, then that's not a very good reason (they still aired on Nicktoons/TurboNick and would actually come back in 2006 and 2007, BTW)
+NotaBee - I agree 100% with you because as you mentioned that they still had the old shows, just on a different channel. Now Nickelodeon is cancelling all of the new shows that they have now. I just don't understand what direction Nickelodeon is going to, but it's not a positive direction at all.
+NotaBee Productions The reason why a lot of people consider 2004 to be Nickelodeon's last good year is because after 2004, the quality of Nickelodeon's programming (in general) dropped HARD. What do I mean? Most Nickelodeon shows that came out after 2004 were nowhere near as good as the shows that came out in 2004 and before. However, I will admit that 2005 and 2006 were more tolerable than 2007 onwards since a lot of shows that premiered before 2005 were still airing new episodes until 2007. Another thing, a lot of things changed for Nickelodeon in 2004. One of the most well-known changes was when SpongeBob's pre-movie era ended, and the start of the post-movie era in 2005 is considered to be the start of the infamous seasonal rot.
+NotaBee Productions For me when I think about it, Nickelodeon never really died. I see it more as just going in wrong directions with some of it's programming and maybe poor business decisions and management. I mean this isn't a perfect life we're living it's natural for things to have their up and down moments. Some of which we can't even help.
HappyMagikarp well ccf had more variety in the schedule and thoughts cartoon host and the.com pick and the intro is more hype and plus fnn only ran from 8:00 to 10:00 while ccf ran from 7:30 to 11:00 so for me it has to be ccf FTW
I remember this was one of the things i would look forward to every week as a kid. I remember it was friday, it was this or the stuff on cartoon network, but i was loyal to the nicktoons then. I remember watching this stuff in my bedroom, laughing at all the funny stuff, this stuff was the best. I love nicktoons and i always will. Ah memories. I miss those old days. I wish they still had cool stuff like this on Nickelodeon
Man, those were the days! My brother and I would watch Nick's Friday nights mostly for Invader Zim and Fairly Odd Parents, then we'd switch off to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. For a few years my parents allowed us to stay up late every Friday and watch our shows in the basement. Friday night cartoons had since replaced Saturday morning cartoons by then, seeing as how kids had so much access to (mostly) 24 hour cartoon channels.
This MADE my elementary school years. I would sing this song in the hallways when I was in second grade because I was so excited to see this. Then that night I would stay the night at my Nana and Papaw's house where they'd order us pizza while my twin sister and I would either watch it in their guest room, their screened in back porch (if it was warm outside) or in the playroom. We'd get so excited for the newest episodes of Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, My life as a Teenage Robot, Chalkzone and Rugrats. Now 10 years later, Chalk Zone, Jimmy, My life and Rugrats are long gone while Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents are making more and more horrible episodes. It's so sad to see what has become of this amazing network. :(
What's that? Nickelodeon actually ACKNOWLEDGED CHALKZONE'S EXISTENCE? WITH THE TWO CUTEST CHARACTERS ON THAT SHOW? Watching this as a little kid made my heart beat so fast whenever I saw Snap in the beginning, since Nick never used it for anything else. I still feel some of that excitement now XD
+Aaron Velez Yep. Sadly though, it still limps patheticly as it tries to make it out there in tv today. It would be better if the channel died. Not even a single good cartoon out now.
If they do this again, I bet the characters featured in the opening would be characters from SpongeBob, The Loud House, Los Casegrandes, Rise of the TMNT, Welcome to the Wayne, the upcoming Rugrats reboot, and maybe Invader Zim in honor of Enter the Florpus.
Oh God this was my life. When this came out, the area I lived in didn't have Cartoon Network as a cable channel. In order to get it you had to have digital cable, so I only got to see CN when I went to people's houses who owned digital cable, so this was the best I had most Friday nights until I moved when I was 8 years old, lol, and even then I still picked this over CN.
Man, so many memories, when most of our Nicktoons characters were all together. Now were far from that, and in the future. I totally remember Friday Night Nicktoons, I'd be so excited to watch it.
Dang, I wish I was alive for this XD. I mean, 2010s nickelodeon had spongebob and henry danger, which were childhood for me, and they are amazing. 2000s-2010s spongebob was top tier. But now, it's just...sad. I recently have become OBSESSED with Invader Zim too. It reigns superior. I wish nickelodeon hadn't gone from amazing to terrible, i wish it had stayed amazing!!
Actually, most would disagree with 2010s Nick being good. The late 2000s were a rather troubling time for Nickelodeon in terms of viewership and it's safe to say that the channel is in it's worst era.
i havent seen the intro ever since this last came on a long time ago and it all of a sudden pops in my mind. i used to get so hype when this came on... but cant believe I thought this quality look good back then.
Awww...I love this. Hey, is it just me, or is this the ONLY time Arnold actually saw Helga when she was stalking him? He caught her monologuing with the locket a few times, but this is the only time I've seen her staring at him and him actually getting to see her...although it did take her flying into the air screaming to get him to notice. Arnold, you are DENSE. But that's pretty much the only cartoon notable that I watched in here. Well, there's Donnie there, I guess, and I saw a bunch of the Rugrats gang, but that's all.
This was so unique in the way they combined all the Nickelodeon characters together, both past and present. How each of them linked together (ex: Jimmy's rocket caused Squidward to surf with Otto). Then when they cut to the stands they have some of the characters of the same show sitting together, and at the same time characters of different shows would be with characters of a different show (ex: Darwin is between Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy).

It's not even about being little, I mean it is, but mostly it's the question about....W.T.F happened to Nickelodeon?!? I know, we all have to grow up, but that doesn't mean you take something like this and turn it into trash...
No they are not lies because I record all of them on Nicktoons, they just don't come on very often, but they do come on. Teen Nick is also doing "The 90's are All That" where they play older nick shows.
I remember coming back home from school when I was in 4ever grade waiting to see Friday night nicktoons I just could not get off of my bedroom chair to see Friday night nicktoons and when it came out I just laid back and enjoy my Friday nights as a kid man those were the days
Sadly FNN was only SpongeBob at 8:00, Jimmy Neutron at 8:30, Fairly Odd Parents at 9:00 and Chalk Zone at 9:30. Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, Rugrats, Invader Zim, Wild Thornberrys and As Told By Ginger were never played.
spongebob squarepants it didn't just change, it became so... downhill (I guess), the logo changed, terrible shows were added, no original bumpers, no more FNN, the're too lazy, too many live action shows, nicktoons has sport related shows for no reason, they stopped airing 90s shows on the nick channel (they are now shown on a block on teenick called nicksplat that comes on at 11:00 pm or something close to that), I know its still alive tho but I was just saying with examples that are what explains nickelodeon

I liked this video NOT because of the nostalgia, I didn't grow up on Nick, I liked it because FRIKIN CHALKZONE
Same
I miss this :'(
Rugrats, Rocket Power, Hey Arnold, Wild Thornberrys, Rocko’s Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Angry Beavers, CatDog, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, Chalkzone, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Doug, All Grown Up, Invader Zim, As Told By Ginger = The Heavyweight Heroes of nickelodeon
0:29 they treat zim Like Human Garbage!!!
Unpopular opinion: Modern Nickelodeon and its shows aren’t that bad.
This was a really cool intro for nickelodeon. The Friday Fun Fantastic Flavor.
i remember this... sadness ensues .
it has has lots of shows like spongebob rugrats and more
This was the Nick that I loved.
Me too.
*EVERYONE IS HERE*
Pause at 00:26 tommy and rudy p.s both of them (if you watch both of the shows) they are voice by the person that did buttercup voice
This was Nickelodeons response to Cartoon cartoon Friday’s on Cartoon Network but unfortunately it lasted until 2004
I seen this when I was little (sighs) I miss the good times.
Me too.....me too.....
I remember this
I remember coming back home from school when I was in 4ever grade waiting to see Friday night nicktoons I just could not get off of my bedroom chair to see Friday night nicktoons and when it came out I just laid back and enjoy my Friday nights as a kid man those were the days
Holy shit! This was the highlight of my week as a six year old!
0:37 Did anyone else see Rocko Heffer and Filburt?
has anyone noticed how freaking Gigantic Tommy, Chuckie, and Angelica are compared to the others?
Sadly FNN was only SpongeBob at 8:00, Jimmy Neutron at 8:30, Fairly Odd Parents at 9:00 and Chalk Zone at 9:30. Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, Rugrats, Invader Zim, Wild Thornberrys and As Told By Ginger were never played.
MultiAnimationdude Invader Zim rarely aired on Friday Night Nicktoons
@@hisyoungmajesty cause the godamn kiddes
Those were the days! I miss those days!
I remembered this! Nice!
good god all the fond memories of anticipating every friday just to sit down and watch this.
0:27 Ginger x Rudy 🧡💚 (no, I’m just playing)
*zim crashes into the binoculars and gets blasted*
Me: Fucking RIP.
Nickelodeon is still alive. it just changed.
spongebob squarepants it didn't just change, it became so... downhill (I guess), the logo changed, terrible shows were added, no original bumpers, no more FNN, the're too lazy, too many live action shows, nicktoons has sport related shows for no reason, they stopped airing 90s shows on the nick channel (they are now shown on a block on teenick called nicksplat that comes on at 11:00 pm or something close to that), I know its still alive tho but I was just saying with examples that are what explains nickelodeon
They only have spongebob
