Live Aid was a concert festival held to raise money for people in Ethiopia. It's special in that there are technically two Live Aids that happened at the same time: one in America at Philadelphia's JFK Stadium (now the Wells Fargo Center) and in the UK at London's Wembley Stadium.
I was only the producer of it - there were a lot of really talented artists who created this, not to mention all the great shows that lent their characters and worlds...

I was at Universal on Jimmy's final day of operation...I rode it dozens of times that day, including the last ride EVER. I will never forget that day for sure!

Universal worked FAST in getting rid of any trace of the ride...the Jimmy Neutron mural was painted over the very next day, and the Nickelodeon street sign was replaced by one that said "Minion Way".

This ride was literally my childhood. I grew up in Orlando and had a season pass to universal and this was my favorite ride to go on in the park. Even though I do enjoy minion mayhem, it is nothing compared to this. I feel like they should have updated the ride every few years and added in characters from the newer shows so it could still be relevant. I also would love if they included the live action shows like drake and Josh, Icarly, and victorious. Maybe they could have the shows be animated in the ride? I think that would be really cool!

this ride was fun, and what made it hilarious was at the end when they do the chicken dance, the seats actually does the moves to it. i was dying laughing.

This still and will always be my favorite childhood ride. I’m so upset they got rid of it! God I remember riding this like it was yesterday with my mom and dad. I wish they changed it back from the minion ride, it doesn’t compare to this Childhood treasure.

I loved this ride! I rode it when I was young before it closed down. It was nostalgic, and now this is here, it’s even more fun to live the memories of universal studios Florida!

I don’t really understand the “This ride was removed because all the shows in the ride were cancelled besides SpongeBob (because obviously)” because most of the shows are cancelled, but they’re not forgotten, cancelled doesn’t always mean irrelevant.
I have been on a mission since I was 11 to find the music from this ride. I loved the music; the mashup of the different themes was always a joy to listen to, but I've never been able to find the track, or even the composer of the ride.
I absolutely despised Despicable Me when I first watched it. Now they've gotten rid of one of my favorite rides FOR Despicable Me?! Goddamnit Universal Studios have you lost taste in GOOD rides??
Me and the kids went to it back in '05. Was the first ride we got in, I didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised, one of our fondest memories my youngest kid is now 26😢
Glad to hear that you loved it - these projects are a ton of work, so its always great to hear that it touched people's lives! I did not work on Funtastic, but (as it turned out) it was the same director. Also, Trey Stokes (who you can find here on RUclips) also worked on both rides programming the motion base platforms.
I rode this ride many times as a kid and it was great. I miss it already but I'm kinda excited to see how despicable me will be when I go again next year.
Man, people miss this ride so much that Universal added on 3 months of the ride. But now, Dispicable Me's era but Nicktoon's blast will go down like one of the great retired rides. Same goes for King Kong & Hannah Barbera.

Technically Power Hour came after the ride opened. JNNB opened in 2003 while Power Hour’s first episode came out in 2004 I believe.

It'll also include some Nick Jr characters such as Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Blaze And The Monster Machines, Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, Shimmer And Shine, Wallykazam, Baby Shark's Big Show, Abby Hatcher, Rusty Rivets, Ryan's Mystery Playdate, Dora The Explorer, Blue's Clues, Little Bill, Oswald, Max And Ruby, The Backyardigans, Go Diego Go, The Wonder Pets, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Ni Hao Kai Lan, Peter Rabbit and Yo Gabba Gabba.
this ride was fun, and what made it hilarious was at the end when they do the chicken dance, the seats actually does the moves to it. i was dying laughing.

I remember going on this ride twice as a kid (once in 2006 and again in 2009). It was so much more memorable than the minions ride IMO.

I have been on a mission since I was 11 to find the music from this ride. I loved the music; the mashup of the different themes was always a joy to listen to, but I've never been able to find the track, or even the composer of the ride.

Me and the kids went to it back in '05. Was the first ride we got in, I didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised, one of our fondest memories my youngest kid is now 26😢

I did not work on Funtastic, but (as it turned out) it was the same director. Also, Trey Stokes (who you can find here on RUclips) also worked on both rides programming the motion base platforms.
