Sunny War is the most brilliant and complete musician and songstress in America. Pure Genius flows through her body and mind. They say that a little insanity is found in every genius and there is a small amount of insanity in every note she sings or plays. She is a virtuoso guitar player and reminds me of a female Jimi Hendrix of acoustical guitar. I love her work and as a personality she is gentle despite the pain she has lived through. Her Bass guitar player was well chosen to accompany her. We laugh with her and we cry with her because in some magical way she knows us better than we know ourselves, collectively. She reminds me of a person I loved many years ago . Thank you Sonny for being a wonderful person and a marvellous musician who works hard to share her joys and pains with us.
