I will automatically subscribe to anyone that sheds light to the Sun Eater series, favorite series of all time!
It’s an amazing series for sure!
I take Hadrian to be a reliable narrator but with the one caveat that, as we are oft reminded, Hadrian Marlowe can be quite dramatic.
I love his dramatic streak. It’s a constant source of amusement to me every time he’s called out on it.
I just started this series in December. I finished book 2 last month. It's such a great series and entry into the sci-fi genre. Its disrupted my TBR and I can't wait tomget to the next book. One of the things I really loved was the way time twists history. We know that happens in the real world, so that detail played out is fantastic and done well. I want to finish it this year as well.
I haven't gotten to Red Rising or the Vorkosigan Saga yet. But they're on the TBR.
Yeah the scope and scale of time and how long the story takes to unfold just feels impressive.
This is my favorite Sci-Fi series and it always makes my heart happy to see other enjoy it as much as I do.
I’ve definitely been blow away by how much I love it!
Awesome to see you got on with this one Cam! I'm commenting to support, but I'm going to save this video until after I read the book. I want to go in blind!!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it and I can't blame you for wanting to go in blind. I knew it was going to be an epic space opera but that was pretty much it too and I was not disappointed! Once you've read the book let me know what you think!
Glad you enjoyed it. This series is so great and Christopher is such a talented writer. I cant wait to see where he goes from here. I also loved the audiobooks. Samuel Roukin is perfect for this series.
After book 2 I’ve been exclusively listening on audiobook. He’s an amazing narrator.
Great series...one of the best.
Absolutely!
You should read the Red rising, just saying. Nothing against the Empire of silence, BUT, to me, these two cannot even be compared 🤷♀️
I’ve both read Red Rising and listened to them on audiobook. I love both series
@@NerdBookReview I hear you, I just can’t understand 🧐 Maybe with the Red rising I sort of closed that subject of an incredible space opera so to say? Like with the Lord of the rings or the song of ice and fire, everything else came after and is being compared? Anyway, that’s just how I feel 🤩
Fair enough! I thought if it as a nice mix between red rising and Vorkosigan Saga, which was my first true space opera love.
Genuinely one of my favorite series of all time!
It’s rapidly getting there for me too!
I knew you would love it!
You were definitely correct! I finished book 3 last week and it's even better than this one, maybe my favorite single Sci-Fi book ever.
awesome🥰
