Multiply or Release 40 - Charged Shots vs Burst Shot

- Classic multiply or release, but choose between releasing as a charged shot or a burst shot.
Burst shots size is determined by the remaining amount of charge to release - increased by 1 for every 10 times size.
Settings:
New marbles added every 60 seconds.
Ball size limit is 20000.
Options: Multiply, Release Charged Shot, Release Burst Shot
Four colors competing:
Orange, Cyan, Green and Purple

This whole battle was poetic. Purple's early onslaught gouging the board. Orange finds small victories and begins to take advantage. Cyan under threat makes a huge breakout to eliminate Orange and Purple in the crossfire. Green clawing back territory tooth and nail, ultimately seals the battle with a calculated killing blow.
Cyan, as it accepts its doom and its last defenses are overrun, launches the Tsar Bomba, both the unstoppable force, and the immovable object, with pinpoint accuracy, obliterating the marauding Green's headquarters and ultimately winning the war, but leaving the battlefield depopulated, ruined, desolate, and forsaken. S-tier storytelling from deterministic RNG.
Damn thats probably the coolest ending to a multiply or release that I've witnessed

@@minimino9878 had blue fired slightly earlier it be a whole different story it definitely didnt need to be that large to win at that point, timing was definitly key amazing to see both massive attacks at the same time
That was a weirdly epic end. Cyan saw it coming and was like "I'm going down, but I'm sure as hell bringing you with me" then sniper shot through the burst fire.
19:55 At this moment is the true moment where the Charged vs. Burst shots looks like. Also, that Charged shot is really accurate TBH.
idea with using a bigger grid and a new rule: once a pixel or square has been color converted enough times, it becomes black and no longer acts as a barrier for any color. i dont know exactly how it would change the game overall but visually it would be cool to see! also perhaps giving each color its own marble area instead of two colors sharing would be nice

This idea combined with burst shots will be nice. Having charged shots will just get big bullets stuck if it takes too long

Have the deactivated blocks act as walls so charged shots just bounce off
@@Deleted_Eevee if there is enough attacks then it would just be an infinitely strong wall with no way through, and it would be a stalemate
I have an idea.
As much as I like seeing the "scarred" battle grid (the color grids becoming darker after being converted by enemy squares), I'd also like for the battle grid to "heal" (the color grids slowly become lighter when they are not disturbed)
Yes please, it'll make reading the grid easier

Could combine ideas where after enough conversions, tiles become black, no longer able to be converted until they heal.
I think the color that filed the board is the winner here because that was as close to an elimination draw as reasonably possible. Final two basically perish at the end to leave their two strategies of non nonreplenishable marbles to fight it out after they died.
But TECHNICALLY lime still won, just saying
tecnically cyan can't complete the board, the final big shot cannot take the single square in the angle because of his mass... so i would like to say that cyan still can't win... (for prof see the corner at 21:59 or 22:20)

Tho you have to give violet credit for defending green abit, as well green for being strategic with its use of large charged shots to defend against territory gain from blue
In reality there is no strategy here, just physics doing its thing. Winner is purely based on how the marbles fall, it's not like the colors can make strategies. They have no choice in the gameplay

Fun fact:
Depending on how many times a ‘tile’ has been converted from color, the tile would become darker and darker with each conversion
So Lime's Base survived the longest, but ultimately it was a Cyan shot that was not only last standing but had a high enough count to convert the entire field to Cyan and still keep going... So uh, kinda up in the air who the real winner is.

One thing that you should include in the video description is the shield size. In this video, the shield size is surprisingly just 1! This means that the charged shot must be only more than "1" to shield from a charged shot that attacked the player's base.
Edit: Idk about that ending there. Looks like the "4" didn't shield from cyan's charged shot. So what's the actual shield size?

To be honest I kinda forgot about that mechanic when I recorded this one, but was happy with the overall result so I left it.
Probably around 5-20?
I think the giant charged shot powered through the 4 because it didn't give enough knockback
best ending ever green managed to avenge purple and cyan maneged to control the entire board. its not what i was expecting, it was even better

why was green not eliminated almost instantly at the start? seems a bit unfair to give green a pass but purple and orange dont
I was wondering that. I think its because Greens 16 show was juuust enough to make the purple one bounce away and not quite hit the corner
i think it would be a good idea that instead of bouncing it completely then bouncing the ball away depending on how big the bases multiplying ball is so like if a ball is at 100 and the ball attacking it is 500 then it would deflect it not completely but like 20% of the balls speed

Seeing the thumbnail, I thought that you wouldn’t use a shot from the video itself in a thumbnail so I thought we wouldn’t see the blast on grass. But you must of known that we would think that so you used that game and prevented spoilers by reversing our expectations on what would be spoiled!
How do you decide the size of an individual burst projectile?
Log of size.
From 1 to 9 - 1
From 10 to 99 - 2
From 100 to 999 - 3
From 1000 to 9999 - 4
etc

If the shot that is being constructed is bigger than the player's home base, that shot will be sacrificed to block an incoming shot. Cyan had enough small shots to both consume the shield and then hit the player. Green was lucky enough to have a large enough shot in production at just the right time.

It was really anybody's game in the last moments, and despite lime "winning" by being the last standing, it is cyan that takes over the map in the end.
i mean technically blue won, yeah sure blue died but green died seconds after and blues shot eventually ruled the battlefield. blue should've been victorious

Even though lime outlasted Cyan by a few seconds, Cyan should be the true victor, as in the end, their color was the one that was forever bouncing off each end of the board, and as a result, covered the entire board in a sea of Cyan.

I noticed that when a player uses burst shots, the ball sizes are not always consistent compared to other shots.
The shot size is the log of the remaining amount of size to be shot, i.e. number of digits in the number.
1 to 9 is size 1, 10 to 99 is size 2, etc
Nice show, but I didn’t mean to say it like that. I saw the ball sizes are different even with the exact same number when burst shots are fired. If you look closely, you’ll see that the exact same number balls are slightly different in size.
For example, some ‘2’ balls are bigger than other ‘2’ balls in size.
An accurate representation of the fact that there's no winners in war.
Idea: round arena. The snooty guys would be positioned in little divots in the corners. This would make bouncing more unpredictable.
Idea 2: when a shot hits a different color, it bounces off of that color and switches to that color.

I like the board going darker but it’s kinda hard to see it would look cool in the opposite direction(board starting dark and going light)

The ending: two colours end each others lives, 1 by charge shot, the another by burst shot.
how about adding a laser defending the base ?(rotate left-right like the shooter but destroy any enemy ball coming in contact with it while loosing durability)....in case of the charge ball it split it into 2 big half if the big ball is too powerful and make contact with the laser(IF the laser is at least half the power of the charge shot it split it) if not then the laser get entirely push back..increase laser lenght by 1 for every 60 power units
