It’s nice to see people that still use different, planners or different things. I’m not into Franken planning I use my travelers notebook for Bible verses and Bible study. Hobonichi weeks for on the go and A5 for self-care and personal another A5 for goals. I use a happy planner for groceries food inventory, or anything food related and lastly, I use another happy planner for a catch all.
I have been using Happy Planner since 2017. I always use Horizontal planners. I frankenplan Catch-all, Journal, Faith and Budget. For 2024 I will be using Catch-all, Journal, Faith, and a Dashboard carry along. Since I am 77 I want to be sure I write everything down so I can remember to write them in my catch-all. LOL
I added an HP mini to my purse a few months ago, mostly for the monthly calendar too! I thought I would use the weekly more often for plans but I've found myself using it to sloppily write down things I need to know, such as "Black Friday, Cyber Monday" where I had a running list for a few weeks prior to the sales. It's dated so I tossed down a bunch of leftover stickers to cover up the dates and can move the pages around as needed. It's worked surprisingly well! Love your lineup and thoughts, can't wait to see how you end up using them, it always helps me to hear what other planners are doing so thank you for sharing!
Hi Amber, great video and planner lineup. These planners make a lot of sense and I totally agree it is all about finding what works for you for the phase of life you are in and what is going to meet your needs most.
I love that we both decided to try other companies besides just HP this year. I have a Plum Paper for catch all, Makse for goals (same one you have), and got the Budget Mom Budget By Paycheck budget planner this year. I also got a PP daily planner but I learned I don’t need to map every single thing out and I stopped using it. I’m glad I bought it in six month increments and only like a month is left lol I’m not going to toss it though cuz I love the cover, I’m gonna repurpose it into a gratitude journal. Happy Planner got me into everything planning, but I wanted to experiment this year and play with other companies. Still love HP just wanted variety. Tis the slide of life! I may get EC life planner for catch all next year to try them and then get the Makse companion folio for goals. I love my Budget Mom planner and don’t plan on changing that at this time.
I just got ADHD diagnosed and medicated. I am 40. I have also gone to therapy for coping techniques. I was honestly kind of picking up vibes before you said anything lol. Claire Bowman ADH She and Matt Raekelboom ADHD speaker are my favorite ADHD creators.
You need to get checked out for ADHD.. My daughter has it and explained a lot of her actions. It will help you know what will work and not work for you. I have noticed that I have trouble focusing on occasions. I used the Hemlock and Oak this year and love love love this planner. I will be using it again next year.
How much time is taken out of your day writing in the planners? Seems like a lot of wasted time if you’re doing that every day and making hourly schedules
I’m not sure it will work for me, but I know I need to try an hourly planner but am used to the vertical too. That’s why I love planner lineups, it can be changed for your needs!
@AmberPlansHerDay for me, i use the notes app that came with the phone and then the Google calendar for on the go stuff. Have you considered something like that for your on the go option? I merry my paper and online calendar almost daily, at night when I'm Journaling. I compartmentalized my life in a way that makes sense onpaper, I've got an everything planner, a big feelings journal, a business planner/ journal in a bullet journal style, plus a note book for sketching wood working plans and I'm getting a gratitude journal for Christmas. But each one has a specific purpose. And then i use bookmarks (scrap leftovers from cricut projects) to write down tasks that need to go to my daily planner. So, ideally, at night, I'm pulling the bookmark from my biz journal and assign those tasks to certain days. Like i need to order more pots, so I'll put that in the calendar for a random day next month. Aint no shame if i gotta move things around, I'll keep wite-out in business. 😆 i kinda feel like if you compartmentalize and then assess the needs for each part of your life, you'll have a more successful system. Maybe you set up a bujo for church that you put with your Bible and you can transfer your notes/commitments. Also, if you're not interested in going with an online calendar, then I think it's perfectly ok for you to let folks know you need to check your calendar before you can commit to anything. Then you can give folks your number and you can become besties.

I sit down on Sundays for about 20 min and write in weekly schedule then about 5 minutes each morning to make sure my day is prioritized properly, otherwise my self diagnosed adhd will have me sit staring blankly for hours and then I wouldn’t accomplish anything that day.

An hourly and vertical catch all, I like it 😊.
You sound like you have a great plan/lineup for 2024! I can totally relate to getting overwhelmed and staring at your desk. lol

So happy that your trying something other than happy planner this year.
I am also going to add additional planners, 2 extra this coming year. So I will have a total of 3. Well I'm going to try. Thanks for sharing.
Love hearing how you're thinking through your lineup. Thanks for sharing!
I'm using 14 planners this year the hemlock and oak undated weekly and thier undated daily as well

I think a lot of people are moving away from HP to seek more efficient tools.
I was unaware that Hemlock & Oak had downloadables... thank you!
They sell inserts not downloadables I don’t think.

@amberplansherday Have you ever considered the Franklin Covey System?
I haven't heard of that system, I will have to check it out

idk dude, the 2 full size catch-all planners seems rather redundant.
I’m not sure it will work for me, but I know I need to try an hourly planner but am used to the vertical too. That’s why I love planner lineups, it can be changed for your needs!
