Top. Keep on turning.
    Groeten uit België.

    I have had an owl on my to do list for some time. Maybe your video will push me over the edge. I love your videos and envy you having a partner willing to operate the camera. I would love that. I do cringe when you hit the awl with your hand. Put a bird cage awl grind on it an give it a simple twist to reduce damaging your hand. I know, I hate the safety police as well and here I am one!

    Hi Ronald and thanks for another enjoyable and informative video.
    I was just wondering why the owl head isn’t staying in the body before turning the eyes?
    I’m using Purple Heart, which is very dense so thought this may be causing the problem.
    Would I be better using a softer wood for the socket?

    • @ronaldkanne
      @ronaldkanne  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Mitchel, well to do the eyes, the head has 2 centre points. So that is one reason. The other reason is that i want the eyes to be in the side grain wood. Because it looks better...

    Can you help im turning a snow man and keep getting sanding lines ?

    • @ronaldkanne
      @ronaldkanne  9 месяцев назад +1

      Sanding lines... well that could be caused by bad sanding paper, or making to big steps in the grit, or not removing dust inbetween the grits... when you are finished with 120 sandpaper, sand the 120 scratchen away with 180. When you are finished with 180, sand the 180 scratches away with 240... and so on. If you are finished with 240 sandpaper and you still see 120 scratches, go back to 180... hope it helpt a bit... grtz!
