how about the maintenance? the information I got from the repair shop, mallory coil requires oil, and the oil is quite expensive. its that true? Thank You
He appears to be WAY SHIT SCARED to actually "LIVE TEST" the coil. And rightfully so, the sheer size of it leads me to believe the electrical arc would produce a veritable "stairway to heaven" which the user may not have the "no climb" option...
Go ahead... ride the lightning! I think the transformer ratio should hit him with 20mA [assuming 35k volts output at secondary] if he screws up. That won't kill, but he will find a new vocabulary.
I'm sorry, but Rick needs to loosen up. He acts like he's got a gun to his head. Why? With the available funds that a large conglomerate such as Holley has to throw out for it's advertising and service programs, you'd think that the presentation would be a bit more thorough and professional. Either let Rick go back to sweeping the shop floors or send him to a school that will teach him how to act in front of a camera. Get a grip, Holley!

Does the key need to be in the "ON" position? Or does someone need to crank it while you check? Please elaborate.
Yea I need an answer to this too. But it's looking like I have a bad coil. Doesn't spark in either case.

I think if he puts one end on his tongue he'd get a much clearer indication and maybe his lips would move when he speaks.
