I've had another Coleman with that same sort of spring set up and they ripped the provided mattress within a month or so. Now one of canvas has torn apart from one of the springs so I'm looking for a new cot. As nice as that looks my experience with my current Coleman cot makes me wary about buying this one as a replacement.
I would like to see a review on the Disc-O- Bed cots. They make the bunk bed style but they also make what they call the Disc-O-bed trundle cot which is a single. I have a tent for the back of my truck and I would like to use a cot rather than my current setup which takes up the whole floor. The nice thing about the Disc-O- Bed is there are no middle legs so they won't hit the wheel well so they can stay to one side. So I will keep watching if you ever get the opportunity to do a review that would be cool.
I bought the cot! Thanks! Is that an Element I see gathering snow? I have one, and the cot fits great inside! Love this cot, and I still have storage underneath. I bought a rug runner at Walmart for about $6-7.
Thanks for your comment. I ended up going with the Teton XXL and then buying their branded cot mattress, too. It's pretty awesome. It was kind of a shot in the dark, because I really didn't think I would like it or find it comfortable (especially the mat!) ... but so far, it's the winner of all the sleep solutions I've tested. Video review is forthcoming, so be sure to subscribe so that you'll be the first to know. :)
@@hardcorecampinggear Well that's interesting. I think, unlike REI, they have a smaller version--at least I think so. I'm getting the Gazelle T3X and neither cot fits in the tent straight (I could be at an angle--but think I might have trouble with the door). I'm really short anyway.
@@515aleon Yes! I think you're right, they do make a few different sizes. The main issue for me is the width. I wanted something wider so I didn't feel like I had to worry about rolling off it in the middle of the night. But it's a tight fit, and I've got the T4. I have a hard time seeing two people with cots fit comfortably with gear. Even if the second cot was smaller. So-- I'd probably go with a larger tent because the spacious cot size is worth it.
These $145 now plus shipping on the Walmart web site. People said they got these for like $45- $75 are getting a real steel. I got one on Amazon for $120 but it is the Deluxe which is 80" long by 30" wide. Going to start tent camping out of the car for a while and see how I like it. Mostly moto camped before but it is very limited on locations you can camp, they have to be motorcycle friendly, which most remote places are not.
If you can try a local store, my gut feeling is they're a lot cheaper. That being said: I've since switched to the Teton XXL cot and find it much more comfortable. Thanks for your comment. Be sure to subscribe so that you'll be the first to know when we come out with new content.
I don’t think you can bet a Coleman Trailhead 2 unless you are hiking/camping. It’s heavy so you can’t hike it. But for campground/ State park camping - close to your vehicle, it cannot be beat. I have a 1980’s era Thermarest super insulated self inflater that fits perfect on it. Warm af. Very cheap too - you can find it for $30-40 bucks.
CAREFUL WITH THESE . They have several sections of wire around the perimeter of the canvas suspended by springs. This causes (over time) the wire bead to rip through the material by shear force. This then will cause sag which in turn result in the perimeter springs to fall out as well. I was able to remedy mine by tying strong thin nylon rope at the points where the wire was tearing through the canvas and around the steel frame at every failure point. I’d love if replacement parts were available
Ha! I haven't been pinched yet, but the sheet does tend to stick in them. I've since upgraded to the Teton XXL cot-- highly recommended. Video review is forthcoming. Be sure to subscribe so that you'll be the first to know when we come out with new content!!

when they have those springs they need to slip something in there for them to attach to, too even out the pressure from the spring hook.

Thank you for your comment. It's not on my list, but ff you can get them to send me one, I'll review it. :)
@@hardcorecampinggear I am going to see if I can get that done. They look good but kind of pricey.

Great review ! Looks a lot more comfortable than the mattress I use !
Thanks for the kind words. Keep on truckin'!!
REI Kingdom Cot? Have you seen that one. It's huge though...Not as big as Titan XXL though. But whole different design for a cot--afaik, unique.

@@hardcorecampinggear Thanks, I am a solo camper. But yes, you are probably right about two people in a T3x, unless they are pretty small.
This is the same cot that I have. I would like it wider though.
Check out the Teton XXL cot. I'm doing a review on it, in a few days.

Keep testing. My ideal is a double (full) size to save space with 2 people. I also want it as comfortable as home.
Thanks. Should have a couple of videos later this week. I've found a really good setup with the Teton XXL cot and XXL cot pad.
Great review thank you

How high is it after the added cush?
Maybe an extra inch or so. I've since stopped using this cot in favor of the Teton XXL cot + Teton pad. I've done separate videos on both.
id like to add that its not a good idea to put your pillow in your bag when its really cold out. this prevents the hood from cinching up properly.

that non slip pad is a Lowe's Product.
Sounds very noisy. Yes?
Those springs will pinch ya

This cot is no longer available anywhere.
See my review of the Teton XXL cot. Much better cot.
theres literally 3 of them at my local walmart right now
jugo de los dioses, because los implies plural gods
The only negative I see is all the crap you have to use to make it useable
Velcro
