when it comes to namjoon and bts in general, the meaning is always going to be deep/impactful, especially RM, that man is a whole poet with the way he writes.
My interpretation to this is RM is portraying all walks of life. Him being the head of the family, being in a toxic relationship, and as a child. He meets the woman who maybe represents himself. He then gains happiness and allows himself to enjoy every moment in life. This is what I think but others may think differently. The song and MV is a masterpiece. Loved it so much!

This song is about the pressure to grow up within predetermined boundaries, such as the social construction of marriage and having a heteronormative partner, it's really profound knowing how in Korean society especially, people live a lot by social pressure and what people expect of them, That is why in the end we see how he understands that he does not

i love this mv so much bc i relate to it a lot. I like to interpret it as losing time bc you're living life on autopilot. you randomly check back into reality and realize you don't even remember how you got here. i imagine the beginning being him having being at a party he doesn't remember coming to. once he walks through the door to his family, he's older, and it's his wife and kid, but he doesn't realize how he got there. he's been constantly blanking out and doesn't know how much time has passed. then, when he gets to the next room with the angry woman, it could be showing how his detachment from reality is affecting his relationships with others. he's probably forgetting events and seems uninterested, which could lead to a lot of problems with other ppl who may not understand.

I saw this video as RM feeling out of place in what we view as "normal" life, socializing, having a family, different relationships, etc. He is lost in trying to figure out what his life should be and he feels isolated. Then he sees the woman in the room with the plant and she is also lost in life and he gets to know her and finds that he is not alone. Spring was always there, the good times were always there, as you said, he just needed to shift his perspective. Now that he knows he is not alone in this, he starts to enjoy his life as it is, instead of trying to figure out what it should be. "I see you come back to me" feels like he is singing to himself. Like he is coming back to himself after questioning his sense of self, his life choices, he is feeling more centered and accepting of himself. At the end when they walk through the door, they are breaking away from the mold of "normal" and just living their lives and enjoying each moment as it comes. The infinite multiverse stretches giving us the perspective that there are infinite choices that we make and instead of worrying about each choice, we should just enjoy the present without worrying about how others perceive our life from outside of it.
Their meeting eventually lightens up Namjoon (note that they are wearing the same fabric of clothes), and their little catch-up can be seen as self-awareness. Minha allowing Namjoon to open the door can signify self-acceptance with a nod of assurance. Minha’s appearance is short because she might be portraying the other side of Namjoon.

It's about his journey of self-discovery. Finding out what he wants in life, being his authentic self, finding inner peace and accepting himself.
If we are to put the album title in the picture, Right Place, Wrong Person - you will be the wrong person in every place there is without knowing yourself first. By trying to fit in, we lose sight of who we are because we become preoccupied with maintaining the standards set by others.
