Hi Liz. At $1650, if you have to ask whether it is real leather, it is a definite no for me!!! It does look like plastic and not nearly as expensive as it is. I would return it and keep looking for a matte leather tote in the same color family. Have you considered the YSL East/West tote? I purchased LV Neverfull GM in 2008 and although it is in the monogram canvas, it is very neutral and great quality.
Hi Emma- I totally agree! I was sad because I just didn’t expect the patent finish so that caught me off guard. I loved the overall design, color, and size though…so if they do make it in this shade in a soft leather finish I’d absolutely scoop it up. I think that the tote is stunning but at that price, if it is not exactly what you wanted or expected I'd return it and keep hunting for THE ONE!!

Right off the bat; No feet on the bottom and VERY thin handles. No inside pockets? And wayy too slim! It would be a NO for me!
Do you need other people to like it?? If You like it, that's all that matters!! Personally, I like a longer zipper on the top, so the bag can be opened wider, the red bottom is a bit much for me, I would have preferred same leather as the sides and some little metal studs, so when you put it down, it doesn't scratch. I just don't buy 'labels' I get personally made, at craft markets, where people who love their craft, make one off's, or just a few in different colours. Handmade, soft leather, hand stitched. Perfect.

Agree with many of the other comments regarding the disappointing features for the $$$$. And it seems like it would lose its shape if you put a lot of items inside, so it wouldn’t be a great travel tote.
The patent leather is stunning and unique. I love it, but if it’s not for you then return.
