- I am taking Japan Airlines JL18 flight from Tokyo to Vancouver. My seat is upgraded to business class and I experienced JAL Sakura Lounge at Narita.

Flying into Vancouver is always my favourite! Even though if it’s a short layover or a two week trip 😊
no welcome drink. no hot towel. hard to believe as i thought the japanese's service culture used to be among the top class. both jal and cx are 5 star airlines. cx does have welcome drink which is champagne and then hot towel when boarding. i saw you weren't served with cheese plate and fruit when dining. not really a decent dinner as what i expected. thx for sharing the video. great job.
I bet it was crazy COVID restrictions (excuses) as to why they didn't do what they normally do.
Rather disappointing: far too much time on taxiing, not enough on business class seat, facilities, service and cabin crew. A bit like a home movie rather than a review ☹️

Been on that seat configuration on JAL. It’s very nice. Been on the 777-300ER 2-3-2 configuration in business a couple of times as well. As surprising as it sounds, the 2-3-2 was a really nice business seat. Service on JAL, no matter the class, is fantastic. Thank you for the video.
