I never understood why Bonnie Tyler didn't stray into more of a hard rock, heavy metal genres, a bit like Lita Ford did after she left The Runaways. Bonnie has a fantastic heavy metal/hard rock voice. I could imagine a Bonnie metal album just being awesome.
There was a high school in Japan which had a terrible reputation- they had a terrible problem of violence in classes. One day, a young teacher took up a job in this school - then to make a long story short, he turned around the lives of youngsters through rugby. It took few years of hard work but this school won the national championship in the end and the teacher was hailed as a true hero. The story became TV series and this song was used for it. It brings tears to my eyes still
Bonnie Tyler is such a great live performer. Even on a huge stage, she fills it with extremely powerful voice and talent. Never stop, Bonnie, keep on rocking!!
I wasn't born until 88, but I saw my parents watching Footloose on VHS when I was 2 and sat down and watched the entire thing. It amazed them so they started putting it in for me every day. At 2 years old, I knew every word to this song and have since walked around singing it for years. They probably hate it as much as Footloose now, thanks to me. Oh well
Bonnie had surgery, at one point in the 1970's, which made her voice rough like that. But she is one of the best singers out of the '80's. Female singers that is.
I have my hero's the TRINITY and my husband..He is sick right now..But if we end up separated for life..Yes, I want a hero.A GODLY man, Someone who doesn't just talk about doing their share to help this hurting world.. Lillie Ozment
This song is one of the classics of the 1980's her life in music has been one full of adventure, all across Europe and the uk. She is also welsh, eclipse of the heart is the pin point of how well she is known, the song is a classic and well loved by many. She is also representing England in the Euro-vision 2013. and has made around, 17 albums i think.....why should you know her... look for yourself and have an opinion. :)
I actually like all 3 versions of this song. The one from frou frou, shrek 2, and this, lol. There isn't a version I prefer, but the original is always the best.
This song will make any situation seem like a life or death ordeal. I went shopping for grocieries with this on my ipod and in my ears and it felt like a desparate life or death situation hahahahahahhahaa.
