- In this episode I spend what feels like my entire life drilling spot welds to remove the inner skin on the passenger side and fabricate an external gauge to start straightening out the bus.
Thanks Alex for the face shield, it works great!
That was a great idea making that template
Looking forward to see how you bend that top back
Thanks!
Amazing skills and dedication. Love the camera work too 😎🤙👍
Thanks, that means a lot!
Looking forward to the next video and a straight Bus 😎🤙👍
@@centerbayclassics Don’t forget the Birth certificate. Discovering the History is as fun as seeing the VW come back to life 👍
@@centerbayclassics don’t forget to order a birth certificate. Discovering the History is as good as bring the VW back to life 🤙👍
Yes for sure, I also been messaging with one of the previous owners of my bus and he has some great stories and memories from the bus!
Great info! Drilling spot welds is not my favorite part of the hobby either!
Looks like fun can't wait for more videos !
Thanks, I'm working on the next video now and will have some shorts coming out in between the full length videos.
Nice work 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks!
Good work. Coming along nicely
Thanks!
once you peel away all the support and inner panels that should go right back into place. that pattern might come in handy.....Usually I just use the door top to line that up. you really cant see both sides at the same time. and if it is slightly off it will still look good as long as it lines up with the door frame and door.
plus the other side might be slightly out of square and you cant see that either. I would focus on the door lining up then plumb bob while its siting on a flat surface so you can see if it is square. Within say 1/8 or so top to bottom. any less than that you cant see.
@@Mikefngarage Thanks Mike. I can't wait to get the roof straight and then I can start welding the rear corner on and see it as a complete bus! I hope very soon.
