Vanessa Froehling is the designer and creator behind the award-winning demi-couture fashion label, Fräulein Couture. She is a self-taught seamstress and artist who has been designing professionally since 2013.
Vanessa combines innovation and functionality through her use of texture and believes in creating unique garments that are also wearable. This ambition has inspired her to create something new and exciting. From the use of various textiles and mixed media, bold and fresh manipulations, and a meticulous eye for detail, Ms. Froehling presents her first avant-garde collection Insecta: The Elegant Swarm.
This collection was inspired by the unique variations and colors between insect species, and all the weird and wonderful expressions of their anatomy formations. These wearable pieces are crafted with a balance of structured and flowing materials that are sewn together to simulate the bodies, wings, and patterns of these creatures.
