A Romulan warbird decloaked and scared it off, I was to busy flying the airplane to assist the distress call.
No Eagle. Might as well have mentioned a UFO, Sasquatch, and an Invisible Man in the title.
The next time Air Traffic Control advises me of a UFO lingering on final approach, I will mention that in the title!

Answer: No, you do not lose your certificate or go to prison for an accidental midair with a bald eagle-or any other bird.
