- Join me on an exhilarating flight in the Piper Arrow PA-28R-200, as I build seat time and explore the skies with my CFI, Filip, from Meriden Aviation. We depart from Runway 18 at Meriden Markham Airport (KMMK) and head directly to Runway 2 at Hartford-Brainard (KHFD). This 12-minute flight is captured in a stunning timelapse, sped up by 400%, allowing you to experience the journey in just a few minutes. Watch as we fly into the sunrise, with the beautiful Connecticut landscape below us and low clouds at our altitude.
I’ve included an overlay track where I discuss the footage and share some key Vspeeds to help with my study. This flight marks an important step in my journey as I recently received my complex endorsement in the Piper Arrow PA-28R-200. Enjoy the views and the ride!

How long it took you to get your hp endorsement?
2 Flights, 3.3 hours logged flight time with about 4 hours of ground communications at the flight school.

@@iceking1905 I took 3 pages of notes, We talked about the new V speeds, the manifold pressure settings, the RPM settings, he had me watch videos on the landing gear system and complex prop. I also watched a video on the avionics. We went over the importance of descent math as I am going so much faster over the ground in a complex aircraft. We went over the fact of the added weight and the higher stall speed of the aircraft as compared to the warrior.
The v speeds on the side is a nice touch. It's a nice change to see a new airplane on the channel. Looking forward to more flying and new airplanes as well🫡🫡
I wish I had some footage of my training, but there were local flight school rules in place for no recording during instruction. Thx for the comment
