She is tearing it up on this album. Saw her show in LA and this band is on fire. Great performance. She IS rock ‘n roll. Bowie, Prince, Joan Jett rolled into something excellent. And god damn she’s hot.
@@shayh.3556 are you writing based on this performance alone or do you actually know her catalogue and have watched enough live shows of hers before coming up with your final decision?
About five or six years ago, I read an article about an artist who took her stage name from the lyrics of one of my favorite artists, Nick Cave. I decided to check out someone who would do that, and discovered Annie Clark / St. Vincent. I've been a fan ever since . This morning, I scored tickets to Nick Cave's Boston show in April of 2025. The opening act? St Vincent. I am totally stoked.
Wow, that is awesome ! I recently decided to listen to other Nick Cave albums because my go to for years was Murder Ballads which is a choice according to a friend of mine who's also a fan. But yeah that show sounds awesome! Have a great time!
@@beatriceistired if you get a chance, check out Nick Cave's double album "Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus". It's very approachable for people new to Nick Cave.
She’s constantly evolving and never is stale. She takes everything to another level. She makes obscure orchestrations and timings and guitar phrasing and blends them Seamlessly together I’m in awe and inspired but I could never compose or create like she does, and I don’t think anyone else can either. She’s in a class all by herself.
Wow, this live version is incredible. Such a tight and clever band, excellent bass / drums section, awesome rhythm guitar and very decent synth. Ann is spellbinding. Tremendous psychedelic track!
@richlisola1 Dave Grohl recently said that asking St. Vincent to play at Nirvana's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction was, something to the effect of, asking a professor to read an essay a 5 year old wrote.
@ That is high praise, I mean Masseduction was a masterpiece. But, that said, the grunge bands tend to unfairly self-deprecate. I can’t take Dave’s diminishment of Nirvana to St. Vincent seriously
I understand how airplanes work but it kinda surprises me that I just saw her and this band in Raleigh NC two nights before 🙂. Went to the show as a casual fan, now I’m a big fan. Y’all she and the band took us there. Great music, great show. And she hopped into the crowd while singing “New York “.
Am I the only one disappointed that Flea was not playing bass on this? Hang on...Annie's bass player is a LOT easier on the eyes than Flea, and has quite an impressive pedal board.

yes, she is hot…
Shes fine alright but her playing is absolutely trash 😂😂😂
I saw her in Boise, then here in Chicago for a Riot Fest aftershow. Absolutely crushing it this tour cycle.
Sorry, but she doesn't even hold a candle to Joan Jett. No way.

She is just the coolest. Great band too!
Jason Falkner on guitar, formerly of the amazing band Jellyfish.

This is what a truly original musician/artist looks and sounds like.
Annie's being a freak again! 😂 I love it and this song

That's one of the best Tonight Show performances I ever seen! Totally rocking!!!
ALL BORN SCREAMING is my favourite new release so far in 2024. I can't stop listening.
Brilliant! Love the Mick Ronson/Ziggy poses.
One of my all-time favorite performers, songwriters, guitarists
I am a 67 year old man and every time I have ever seen St. Vincent I have truely loved her music and stage performances
I’m a bit older than you, feel the same way and seeing her tomorrow night!
I am a 55 year old man and I’ve been a fan of hers for about 10 years . Really unique
I am 66 and right there with you!
I'm 68...been listening to her for about 10 years. It would be dreamy if she opened for the Nick Cave Denver show in May
Yup. I tuned out of rock/pop/alt/punk in 1970 until I "discovered" Annie in 2014.
Me and my bffs saw her in Philly Friday. She was phenomenal
The choreo still makes me chuckle
Annie carries the torch for rock and roll. One of the best live artists walking the planet.
Certainly one of the best guitarists-That she isn’t as big as Nirvana was in their heyday, speaks to the state of music now.
Fuck yeah

What a band!
Wanna see her play in person!
Just saw this on TV. Chaulk up a hit. This is one her and the bands best yet. Sure we wish she would let that guitarist rip a solo.🎉]
It feels Radiohead-esque. Not bad at all. St Annie is so underrated.
The bassist was conceived to the March of the Pigs [robin's spirit daughter]
Great job Annie! Can’t wait to see this live 9/19!

Old cat on the Mustang, coud've been me, go brightly, brother.
Her lyrics approach the grotesque just like Kurt Cobain's did. But she isn't a narcissist. So I prefer hers for lightyears to come.
She survived dangling from a balcony in Philly so she could make this gig.
