Yeah dude, had torn rotator cuff...same symptoms...& a few more...they thought it was bone spurs at first... very painful for sure.
I was actually looking forward to the surgery- wanting relief & pain to end...
After repairing in surgery was told it'd heal in a few months....not so... it all depends on each individuals healing process, I also worked with my hands 24/7 (art work) lasted 11 months. Was on long term disability from work TRIED to sleep in chair, (couldn't lay down) used pillows, to elevate pain, took vicodine as prescribed no relief, had to take more... pain was unbearable, crying, no relief to TRY & SLEEP, prayed ALOT....for pain relief...
This all lasted 11 months....doctor reluctant to keep prescribing more meds, (but luckily) I had a witness to my pain...my parents... whom had to help me dress & even mess with combing my hair, then one day when I'd ordered another script of meds...pain was gone..
Then it was on to home therapy (for another 6 months) to keep arm/shoulder moving as to not get it stuck with no movement like reaching etc... that was another whole painful experience... never got the full range of movement back in that arm. (THIS WAS YEARS AGO)
Was let go from my job...
Now as of a few months ago, same issues have returned...numbness in hands, arm, leg, feet....and numbing pain😢😮...
Not sure what next steps are...Just know for myself not willing to undergo the knife again...
So, yeah I'm in the same boat as you are, yet again...had no idea this would all come back on me, but I suppose I shouldn't of returned to the same activities I was doing before, over using my hands...
Hoping your surgery will not be like my outcome...
But do know that when you use any part of your body excessively it WILL GET WORN, TORN, ABUSED...

Damn brother! I really appreciate you sharing all of that and I really empathize with you. I hope nothing but the best for you in the future and I'm super sorry you had to go through all of those extreme procedures as well as those extreme outcomes. I cannot imagine what that has put you through and I hope. Chad, you can somehow become a lot stronger in the end. Always here if you need someone to talk to. And thank you so much again for sharing that story and your experience.
