I'm so nervous about uploading this holy crap the anxiety is intense. This song is hard!
My upload for this week has been blocked in three countries, including the US. I have to wait for the producer of the song to reply to an email I wrote about unblocking it.
To make up for that I spent a couple of hours today throwing this cover together. I wasn't sure about uploading it because I didn't have long to do it and it's a little messy, but some of you on Twitter gave me encouragement and showed your interest in the video so I'm trying to be brave.
I'm a really, really big fan of Kikuo and I liked Juby's English lyrics a lot!

Personally, you conveyed so much emotion. When I listened to Juby's I felt a lot of sadness, but damn... I don't know if you meant it, but the anger in this. JFC sent chills down my spine. Amazing.
And honestly I think that's the best part about this. How the emotion can affect the story. Juby sounds like a girl depressed she can't wake up and hopeless. This one sounds like pleading and anger in her inability, yet still with fiery desire to wake up.

thats because juby covered it going for the sound miku had in her version, while cakes is definitely going for the vibe hanatan have in her version
Tbh I like juby more but this one is kind of good, (with the passion to wake up but can’t (sad but true.)
I'd give my preference to Hanatan.

Juby would be the original song, since her cover conveyed the sadness, BUT THIS COVER WAS LIKE THE ENGLISH COVER VERSION OF HANATAN. THE POWER IN YOUR VOICE, THE EMOTION, THE ANGER. It's so amazing...!!! GREAT JOB ON THIS COVER!!~~
oh don't even compare juby to Miku on this song, please. Her voice was *not* good for this song, it was so shrill and overall just bad imo. I mean if anyone likes it that's their choice, but I could never compare it to the original 😂

The emotion in the song is just amazing! Juby's was kind of sad and depressing, even though I absolutely admire her, the anger- I don't know if you meant it- that you conveyed through the song truly expressed how the character in the song wants to so badly get out of this nightmare. It's a really hard song that I tried to do and failed, but oh my goodness, you nailed it!
I cannot handle the EMOTION you put into your voice, it is BEYOND beautiful!!! This is truly the most breathtaking cover I have ever heard.

WHOA! The power and beauty of this rendition is unbelievable! It sounds like those voice lessons really have been paying off. Jayn, you certainly delivered!
From what I can tell by the video and the lyrics, (Though they are translated,) the story is about a girl stuck in a world of death. Every time they "die" they start again, constantly coming back and trying to persevere. The repeated deaths are symbolized by the jelly fish, as jellyfish constantly revert their aging process, in a way making it to what should be the end of their lives and then restarting. The end is somewhat hard for me to get a meaning from, though it's possible that the changes, including the jellyfish dying and the more active state of the deer, is the character giving up, the deer possibly being the world of death, first far away, then in the foreground. Though that's all a loose interpretation of the ending.

I have a theory, what if this girl is in coma. you see what I think this is =
1. the way she broke the plate, it like she stabbing somebody, in front of that girl (because plate facing up)
2. the point of this song is "wake me up from this horrible dream" she could wake up and drinking some tea or playing game to calm herself but no... she can't (plus to me, coma is like long sleep)
and if I'm right, then this whole point of the song is how she have the will to live, she still called for help but no one came. the monster could resemble the danger that want to kill her (aka grim reaper to me)

I love the emotion in your voice. With the original version I loved the emotionless feeling of Miku's voice because it fit the scheme of the song, giving it a strong feeling of apathy in the middle of despair and horror.
Your version is just as good, if not even better. The shakiness and mixed strength and gentleness of your voice clearly tells a story. It's a different story from the one the original tells but a beautiful and fascinating one nevertheless. :D The beginning was the best part. I'm still having chills over it.

I really love your take on this song! When I first heard your voice, I felt the chills from the original Japanese version that I felt was missing from Juby's wonderful but carefree(too happy?) voice. Yours I can sense more of the fear and anxiety from the character in the video. Great job! :D
