I thought he lived in the Whitehouse flats close to Great portland street that have since been demolished. He had a flat and his mum lived next door,.I used to walk through Regents park and along the Euston road,I worked at Marylebone and travelled home from Euston. One afternoon I was walking past the Thames TV Studios, and saw kenneth Williams standing on the pavement,I didt recognise him first of all ,he looked quite dishevelled. Unfortunately he died not long after I saw him.Such a great talent.

Will never forget an interview Williams did when he voiced his opinion that the poor should "accept their limitations", rather than demand equality of opportunity. He was a dreadful Old Tory who didn't like the (idea of a) meritocratic society: know your place that you are born into and stay there. The interview is on RUclips somewhere, and includes a trade union official, if I remember correctly.
