Hi, I'm one of the Japanese who loves MHA I've been looking forward to the reaction of this episode every day since you posted the reaction of the first episode of MHA As you may have already noticed, MHA is a rare piece in which always the new season outperforms the previous one Please continue to enjoy MHA *I am here* to enjoy your reaction : )
re-watching peoples reactions to this episode ALWAYS makes me cry again, and you guys did it to me too! Lol no matter the amount of times I watch this episode I cry hysterically still
I love how AFO's evidence for Shigaraki being Nana's grandson is: Oh. You know that's exactly the kind of evil I am. I am not a half-assed enough villain to lie about this.
Ugh this is the best reaction for this episode I've ever seen. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it!! I felt chills from the episode just rewatching it along with you!!
Omg I'm on this part where AFO told All Might that Shigaraki was he's master grandson that just evil and it really change the perspective for me when Shigaraki needed a hero no one was there for him which is why this society is flawed because with All Might gone the number one hero who held society together you can imagine how choas it's going to be know
The thing that's still crazy to think about for me is that this is essentially a fight between two crippled men, All For One is on life-support for crying out loud! I'm guessing their first fight must have taken place in the wilderness cause it feels like they could have levelled a city in their prime.
The dub is fantastic but there was one line this episode they didn't translate that felt like a missed opportunity. When All for One was talking about All Might using the last of his strength he said something along the lines of "That was all of your might, wasn't it, All Might?" It felt like such a cheeky taunt and I loved it.
That line works better in Japanese because the two versions of “all might” sound different. But in English it’s not as cool to just say all might twice. It’s not clever or anything
kollie79 yea there are times the dub changes seem strange. Endeavor saying “Stand up and show them why you’re better!” doesn’t fit him as well as “What is with that pitiful back?!” The latter is more subtle in conveying Endeavors admiration for All Might. Though other times I feel the dub does better than the sub conveying the message. Season 4 has multiple times where the dub does it better imo
@@darencolby1916 Instead of "There it is, that's the last of your strength, isn't all might.", I would of preferred something like "There it is, (chuckle) to have exerted you to.. ALL your MIGHT...."
This is easily one of the best episodes of My Hero. I don't think there's really any "bad episodes", but there are certainly many "great" episodes. And then there are ones that go Plus Ultra. This is one of them. It was amazing and a terrific (and honest) reaction. I don't think it's possible to watch this without getting goosebumps and being emotional.
No matter how many times I watch this episode I always get chills and a little misty eyed. For some time now I've only committed to my top 3 hero list: Iron Man, Batman, and Superman. I am honored to say that AllMight has officially made it my top 4 list now, he inspires me to try and be a Plus Ultra human-being even though I'm quirkless.
Best of season 3 still yet to come. This was the best of Almight, this episode here summarizes the epicness and importance of Almight as the face of hero society . United states of smash was culmination of everything Almight the Symbol peace had to offer as hero, but Almight the teacher as Yagi Toshinori will still live on for the sake of his pupil and successor to still teach him the ropes. This episode also also pinches the crumbling hero society for the man whose broad shoulders the held it together ain't going to be there no more. Almight the hero is basically no more and so it was evident when it was time for the facing the moment of truth, when All for one showed up no one could hold hold the candle to Almight and it wasn't even close. And Almight was way way past his prime and it took Almight look deep within himself, to dig deeper than he has ever into himself to come up with one last hurrah !!!, to beat his nemesis. This is why the hero society will crumble in my hero academia, since it was far too easy to dump it down to Almight and it had been this way for far too long and guy never complained just showed up with a big smile. This when the hero society and Deku in particular is going to feel gravity of the position Almight , since it was way too convenient with Almight saving the day. and this is good for the story and development of Deku as the hero and thats the reason , I say the best of season 3 or My hero Academia is yet to come.
Of all the great moments in my episode, my favorite has to be the part with Endeavor, idk why but it gets me everytime when he yells "show them why you're better".
This was the 1st anime to ever bring tears to my eyes. I've seen this scene at least 20x and STILL get chills during the US of Smash. That OST and build up are just SO powerful. #plusultra PS: the season isn't over yet...
If you examine the scene where Deku is crying because he knows he has to live up to the title of “The Symbol of Peace”, notice how Bakuago is looking at Deku as Deku is unable to keep his emotions in check. That may or may not prove important later on down the line :)
He isn't crying because he knows that he need to live upto the reputation. He's crying because he realized that Allmight used up all of his power that this is the last time that he'll be able to fight.
When I was watching this for the first time, I got major 'Death of Superman' vibes. I honestly thought winning this fight would kill All Might. The scene after the dust settle, of All Might slouched over All For One, the first thing that went through my mind was "Oh my god he's dead."
How does it feel to have just watched one of the best individual episodes in all of anime? I’ve been pumped for your reaction to this arc. This episode hits me in the feels every time, at multiple points... when Endeavor tells him to “stand up and show them why you’re better,” when All Might loses his form, when he figures out Tomura’s lineage, when the USOS hits, when he says goodbye to OFA, and when he says “now it’s your turn.” Literally everything about this episode was 10/10 for me. Animation, music, sound, VA (in both sub and dub), story, it all just hits home. I especially love how the writing kept making you teeter back and forth between feeling hope and despair. It gives you a reason to hope, then AFO makes a move and you lose it, then something else makes you hopeful. Great reaction. Looking forward to future episodes. 😁
Great reaction you guys! When you were wondering if All Might lost his power after defeating All For One, Yes he did. He used the last bit of One For All and now he’s quirkless. And now it’s Deku’s Turn
Something missed in the Dub is that AFO comments that All Might's tricky fighting is unlike him. That someone had influenced him to use sneaky tactics. That someone being Deku.
Yeah, it's not stated explicitly, but the animating style was the same as the fights of Deku, and the focusing of OFA in one hand is also a telltale sign.
Don't forget one thing! Endeavor, he gave up EVERYTHING... his morals and the trust and love of his family. And seeing All Might depowered like that made him feel like all the things he did, was for nothing.
sanju15able Um. I was more or less with you until you said Todoroki’s training was the best way to get strong. That’s absolutely not true. That’s one way to get a soldier, but not a healthy student or an emotionally stable hero. If anything, we’re so fucking lucky Todoroki doesn’t resent hero society like Stain does for what it did to him and his family. Every person faces a choice at some point in their adult life. They have to decide how to split their attention/energy between work and family. You can be successful (not at the very top, but successful) in essentially any field while still maintaining some kind of healthy relationship with your family. But, some people choose to shoot to be the best of the best. They focus their life on their career, and leave the family to their spouse. Those families often face severe emotional/relationship problems and are unhappy because while there might be financial support, there’s no emotional support and affection begins to fade. Endeavor is even worse than that. He could have settled for number two when he saw the widening gap between him and All Might, but he refused to because of his pride. Nothing more. If it was about being the best hero he could be, he could have settled for 2nd. But no. It was about the rank. But unlike most of those career-focused adults I mentioned earlier, Endeavor didn’t just give up his relationship with his family to try and chase a ranking he knew he couldn’t get (he said that himself); he coerced a woman into an abusive marriage and actively abused and damaged his son to try to live vicariously through him and “get back” at the man he couldn’t beat. He’s a bitter old man who wanted to get back at all might by any means necessary. It was only once all might retired and endeavor got the title by default that Endeavor realizes how pointless it all was. Nothing changed for him, not really-and he didn’t DO anything himself to earn that title. That’s when/why he tries to start fixing things with his family. Im not saying it’s bad that he’s trying to fix his mistakes. I’m saying he never HAD to make them in the first place. He wasn’t strapped for cash or anything, he didn’t do it out of necessity. He did it out of pride. And hawks is NOT a good example of a healthy, happy person, or even a truly good hero. He kind of fucking murdered a hero? To keep up a lie? The series seems to constantly go out of its way to show how the ranking system (and hero culture as a whole) is flawed through people like endeavor and hawks, or that snake hero lady who’s making commercials when she should be training her interns. Granted; it’s not like it’s SO bad that people like stain are justified, but the show/manga DOES admit that hero society has big problems that need to be addressed. Endeavor is only one major example.
13:58 Casey: "I hope he can develop the quirk more and do lots more stuff with it" *ME to Dos Cavasoz:* oouuuu just wait till you reach E23 ..and then again when you reach all of Season4!!!
You guys should watch the OVA called All Might Rising. It’s more of his backstory. It’s all Japanese, but it’s totally worth it. And a little something about All Might that I had to figure out: He’s actually a orphan. That’s one of the best things about him. Proving no matter who you are, you can still be amazing.
this is still my favorite 20-something minutes of television ever. I know I'll get ripped to shreds for that by big anime/TV buffs but I don't watch much stuff so before you come at me know that my sample size isn't that large. Seriously incredible though, the pacing is so perfect and the music and the voice acting and the animation and the story itself of course, it's all just SO GOOD!
This episode is an emotional rollercoaster. They keep hitting you with hope and then despair and then hope and then despair over and over again. The voice acting (English and Japanese) is on point. Music and sound effects are amazing. Animation is top quality. It’s a masterpiece.

I also liked how Bakugo looked at Midoria when All Might pointed at the camera. Bakugo understands what All Might meant.
Ive seen this episode multiple times but watching again with you made me cry again lol
He can still use his muscle form but that's it
How does it feel to have just watched one of the best individual episodes in all of anime?
I’ve been pumped for your reaction to this arc. This episode hits me in the feels every time, at multiple points... when Endeavor tells him to “stand up and show them why you’re better,” when All Might loses his form, when he figures out Tomura’s lineage, when the USOS hits, when he says goodbye to OFA, and when he says “now it’s your turn.”
Literally everything about this episode was 10/10 for me.
I have seen a lot of MHA reactions. This was so awesome. Thank you guys.
im in my zoom class and watching this, couldn't wait to see ur guys reaction to this episode, so glad yall are enjoying it
Lmao that moment just gives me the “Thank you, next” vibe
You don’t get more charming than Kacee’s trailing commentary “He got so small.” I mean........
Great reaction you guys! When you were wondering if All Might lost his power after defeating All For One, Yes he did. He used the last bit of One For All and now he’s quirkless. And now it’s Deku’s Turn
Man I cry everytime i watch this episode😢
The all might with his fist raised is the one I have tattooed on my arm I love it
they have called him many things: The Devils Egg Cup, Evil Nutsack Darth Vader, Silver Age Superman. all for one
Can't wait for that episode in season 4 🤩🤩
And THIS is why I love this show so much
Something missed in the Dub is that AFO comments that All Might's tricky fighting is unlike him. That someone had influenced him to use sneaky tactics. That someone being Deku.
Yeah, it's not stated explicitly, but the animating style was the same as the fights of Deku, and the focusing of OFA in one hand is also a telltale sign.
I cried ugly okay
This episode is really special.
this episode always gives me goosebumps and make me cry. always!
4:25 I'm dead All for One is straight up like, "Bro Im trash, you know I mean it"
I love the reactor cry when they watching anime... Cry just cry I'll slap "like"
Don't forget one thing! Endeavor, he gave up EVERYTHING... his morals and the trust and love of his family. And seeing All Might depowered like that made him feel like all the things he did, was for nothing.
I mean. That was his choice. He never had to let his ambition take over his life like that.
sanju15able
Um.
I waited so long for you both to react to this episode.
Me:
Quirk: Fast
I can watch your video just 7 minutes after you upload it.
Every time I watch reactions to this episode I get emotional all over again lol, great reaction as always!
I get chills when all might's master says "one for all will give the world hope, and now its ur turn"
13:58
Casey: "I hope he can develop the quirk more and do lots more stuff with it"
*ME to Dos Cavasoz:* oouuuu just wait till you reach E23 ..and then again when you reach all of Season4!!!
This is the one we all were waiting for. Thanks for feeling it
Waited so long for this episode
7:43 in the morning and I my face is covered in tears. Amazing reaction as always.
Both of your faces during this were just 👏
Keep an eye on Bakugo...this season gets so, SO much more amazing.
For real. My hero academia hits ALL the emotional beats perfectly.
This episode is an emotional rollercoaster. They keep hitting you with hope and then despair and then hope and then despair over and over again. The voice acting (English and Japanese) is on point. Music and sound effects are amazing. Animation is top quality. It’s a masterpiece.
All Might. Never a nickname was more fitting to a character
This is one of the dubs that I can live with!
This is easily one of the best episodes of the series, but believe it or not, there is better yet to come IMO. And that's awesome to be able to say.
Nice. This came out faster than expected.
