I would just say that Matthew 24 is about the "end times". During the end times it will be very difficult & those of the faith will have to stick it out til the very end. "Just met some Mormon guys last night and they referred to this of why they're saved. They said, "We think we've done enough good works to be saved". Or..."I've done my best". If no one is perfect and can never be on this Earth...how can one "Do their best"...? Or how can one hope to "endure to the end"...they must first have FAITH in the Son. And it is your faith in JC that gets you eternal salvation. NOT of works so that no one can boast!
