Jesus med school applications are expensive... I loved the breakdown of the costs for each interview. That was really helpful in planning for future med school interviews. Interestingly, now I want to visit Texas.
Thank you for watching my video, Yarinha! The application process really is expensive and requires some thoughtful budgeting! I'm so glad my breakdown helped you. (P.S--definitely visit Texas! I love it there!!)
Hi Kristen! No, I haven't yet! But please feel free to reach out and let me know if you have any specific questions, and I'd be glad to help in any way I can!!
applied to one MD school and got in. yolo. interview was online coz covid. Im sure I spent the least possible but yeah statistically apply to 10 schools if youre not insane like I am
@@giovanapinheiromd I'm from the UK but I went to medical school in Italy! 🇮🇹 In the public Universities here even the maximum price is a fraction of tuition fees in the US 😳
@@RhesusMedicine Very cool! As an Italian citizen, I spent a few years very much considered going to medical school in Italy and saving the $$, but, after considering many factors, it ended up making the most sense for me to stay here in the U.S. I'd love to learn more about your medical school experience in Italy!
Hi Riza! Welcome! I'm not disclosing the school name on RUclips for two main reasons: 1) I want to be able to be fully honest about my experiences, which includes the good but also the bad, and 2) I'd like to keep it clear that I'm representing myself and only myself in my videos and never my school so as to avoid any potential issues with that.
@@giovanapinheiromd it is okay. actually I just want to find out what is the first priority for student to determine which uni to take? Is it location or any other factor. Thanks anyway
@@rizalukman7982 Check out my video that I made titled "How I made my medical school list," and that one has all the factors that I considered when choosing a school!! Location is a huge factor, but personally finances was also a big deal for me. And looking in retrospect, I also thinking having a pass/fail grading system should've also been a bigger factor for me than it was considering it has really helped my mental health to not be in a graded system. At the end of the day, there are so many factors that people could consider their first priority, but I would say cost of tuition is what ultimately ended up selling me on my school.
This is super helpful! Very practical advice and it’s good to get an insight into this whole process from someone who has been through it!
I'm so glad this was helpful to you! Thanks for watching!
GO OFF Giovana and congratulations! you're killing it :))))))
Thanks Erin!! I hope you're doing well!
