Saw the competition last year and this band blew me away . I thought they should have came in 3rd, but I'm not a judge on the panel. It was my first time seeing this competition and I'll be damned if I'll miss this years. If you love jazz and particularly Ellington, you cannot miss this competition... every day.
I am grateful that Ellington's music is being played. What a blast to be able to play it in its intended way.
