Oh my gosh, been caregiving for nearly a decade.....it's been a roller coaster! Through that journey I've done a lot of soul searching, wondering "what's next? What will we do when this comes to an end?" I also realized what a unique blessing it is/was to have that time with my loved ones, even through the hardships, I would do it all again. The caregiving journey ended a month ago, so now we're in an adjustment period, finding a new normal. Take this to heart, all caregivers, PLEASE don't forget to take care of yourself! They need you to be strong, but mostly, YOU need you to be strong, and YOU need you to be healthy, when that part of your life ends, you will need that strength and health, and take those lessons with you as you go forward.

😭😭😭 the 7th is my mom’s 10 year death anniversary. I beyond tired of being the strong one that no one checks but calls me when they need help. I had to set healthy boundaries a few years ago. The hardest thing I ever had to do was to tell my mommy it was ok for her to let go. She was fighting all the way to the end. Thank you 🙏🏽❤️
I'm so sorry for your loss, I had to tell my Mom it was okay for her to let go as well (via a cell phone with an ICU nurse as covid restrictions prohibited me being there with her) It was such a hard thing to do, but I know she needed to hear it from me, and she did becuz she passed 22 minutes later. My heart goes out to you ❤🩹

My youngest adult daughter has severe mental health issues and I am caring for her and my oldest adult daughter will be moving in with us in August (due to life issues). Yes! Winnie The Pooh is by an English author and the man I’m wishing for is English and he struggles with mood and depression 😢 I cried SO MUCH, when he ghosted me, I cried for 18 months and was so distressed I lost half my hair! The fact that I care for everyone else, family and friends and don’t get it back hurts
I’m tired of being the bigger person constantly, my sister gave me the silent treatment for a whole year and when she wanted to get back in touch I was open to it, and she hasn’t even been particularly nice towards me! Ugh….😩 and that’s only ONE relationship!!

Hugs 🤗 Danielle and I been crying drove my Vintage Buick to work and it really brought tears 😭 to my eyes I was homeless as a teenager and lived in this car a lot of people only know the successful me but yes I was a troubled kid and went and done things grown men don’t even do this car has sentimental value as I got older gave it to my Pops he passed and My oldest daughter came out from Maryland we hugged him held his hands and said it’s ok Pops to let go because he was only holding on to life by a thread for Us till this day I tear up driving this car when I’m working on it or cruising the Blvd People probably think I’m crazy but only one that’s been through it would understand the day I pass to the other side I’m giving it to my kids they love it The other day went to the tire shop and a classmate recognized me and the car he said geese is that the same car you still have it it looks in immaculate condition He insisted taking a picture to show his family 😊he said that was like 30 years ago I bet everyone wants your car he is right Buicks we’re known for Killing Corvettes on the streets and Race tracks 3.8 liter turbo or Buicks 455 V8 cubic inch engines when everyone else were doing GM 350 small blocks ❤
I had a family member tell me that a scared man is the most dangerous man. It revealed a lot to me. I told him he was wrong , a man who has nothing to loose is the most dangerously man. I don’t have anything to loose and fear doesn’t control me. I been in many battles and fear will exhaust you before it starts so they have it wrong Uncle Arthur! I am the most dangerous though. I work with disabled adults, coming through to make their lives full and meaningful. I live with my 92 yr old cranky father and stepmother in 4th stage cancer. No one gives to me ever. It’s like I’m a liability. Srsly.
